Please gawd no. I don't want Eva soiled by some AU/sequel thingy. It's bad enough ADeVil is threatening a live action Hollywood wankfest movie.

And it really was quite a long time ago that I heard it.

 

EVA-R was awesome. Really professional stuff. I remember anxiously waiting for Episode 50' for months

The first chapters were a bit weak, but the last ones, when Maher took his time and spent months writing each new chapter... wow. Just wow.

I remember that Eva-R site back when I first started watching Eva a few years ago. I didn't want top read it then because I hadn't yet finished the series. I'd forgotten all about Eva-R. I'll have to check that out.

Meh. EVA-R is one of those "you had to be there" things, not unlike the original Woodstock.

Damn. Thanks to that site I've just realized I first watched EVA around 1997. I feel old.

 

They were making an Evangelion 2 PS2 game last year. There was supposed to a secondary armor added to Unit 01 and the JA got a facelift...still looked ugly...but a facelift none the less.

 

Meh, we(the US) never get any good anime games.

Hey, I think that, if done right, the live action movie could turn out okay. BUT, that is a very, very BIG if.

 

How in the world could they sum up all of Evangelion into one feature film?

I'm picturing another 'Final Fantasy: Spirits Within'...

It's been out for a while in Japan. GAINAX sneaked in some pretty cool info that helps put some pieces from the series together in that game. That second armour thing for EVA-01 looks pretty stupid. Even the guy who designed the Evas and had to design that second armour things so. It's also pretty pointless considering that the armour isn't really armour at all and that it's the AT field that actually protects them.

No. Even if by some miracle ADeVil gets studio backing on this, the studio is gonna want it to be a cute little formulatic teen action movie like Spiderman or something.

They don't. The plan is to make a movie that contains elements from roughly the first third or so of the series. Here is the most comprehensive site on info pertaining to the LA Evangelion project.

I liked that movie. It's the FF games that suck. The only problem that movie had was that they shouldn't have put the Final Fantasy name in the title. They should've just called it The Spirits Within.

 

Actually, something I heard about the possible second season of Eva is that it would be "told from a different perspective". I don't know the validity of that, or what it really means, but it sounds intriguing.

And I like the first 1/3 of the series concept for a movie, those episodes were the fun episodes

 

I would love the idea of more Evangelion.

But I'm not sure if it would be as good as the original.

 

Those "second season" rumors surface every so often. Not gonna happen unless Anno dies and GAINAX gets taken over by someone else.

 

I don't see how you could do a second season. Even if you did it would be totally different. No Eva's, no Rei, no angels, just doesn't seem like evangelion.

Its back, but theres really not much more to be said about the subject matter.

 

I'm about to buy the Evangelion Renewal set from a friend's friend. It's apparently in mint condition, but we'll see.

And, of course, my EVA fandom renewed, I've started watching my old VHS tapes all over again. Gah.
