I don't know. I haven't played those. I played the original Fallout. This one's great though.
It finished like the other one with Power Armor and killing a deathclaw, which was a lot of fun. Took forever to get there, but worth it!

Have you played Skyrim Jabba? Is it as immersive as that game? I've been looking for a lengthy RPG to scratch my itch. Dragon Age Inquisition kinda did....and now I have a sudden urge to play that game again...

no. I played the original Fallout. That's my last RPG, except at the beginning of the year, some other JCCers recommended some other RPG - medieval fantasy type thing. I played it, for several hours but got stuck in the opening part when a castle gets overrun. I also played the original Dead Rising...shopping mall zombie game. Very good. Probably the best RPG ever made based on my experience playing 3 of them.

I've heard that's good as well. That one and/or Fallout 4 will be my starter game once I jump to the next generation. It just makes more sense to dish out $40-60 on a game that promises dozens of hours of offline gameplay rather than a 4 hour long single player game that relies on internets.

sounds good. I'll check YouTube for how to get to Diamond City. There didn't seem to be much of anything left to do in the game after killing the deathclaw, so I'm sure I missed an important step somewhere.

    Besties, I'm bushed.
It's half past midnight and I just finished working.
Current project: the Refugee Buddy App, to be launched tomorrow.

"Where do I have to go?
Where can I find the things I need?
How can I make myself understood?
How can I find the latest important news?
Where can I find the nearest mosque or church?

    The Refugee Buddy App helps."

    Sup besties

I'm currently in JFK airport waiting, for two hours it's been, for my shuttle upstate to be ready. And the driver just told me on the phone that some of his passengers still have to get through customs. I had one hour of sleep last night. My left leg is killing me. I must stink to high heaven. When will serenity and hygiene return!? When?!

I am so, so happy not to be traveling today. I've never stayed in CA for Thanksgiving before (though one time I was in Dorset, England and another time I was in East Jerusalem). But I was just in KC two weeks ago and we did Thanksgiving then.

Also, last weekend I went to the Bay Area for a Friendsgiving. And tomorrow my brother and I are going to a nice restaurant that's making fancy Thanksgiving food. Then watching football, of course.

So basically I've had a Thanksgiving meal every week for three weeks. And don't have to deal with LAX again. I win!

Picked up my son from college. He brought home a few orphan students for the weekend (A German girl from Munich and a Californian who couldn't make the trip back to LA), so I had to buy some extra food.

I'm wondering if my son and the German girl have something going on, but no one has offered any explanation yet.

I've got friends from out of town visiting, so we're all having a nice dinner tonight at one of our favorite BBQ restaurants here in the Valley. And although I technically work on parts of Thanksgiving (from midnight to 7am :p ), I've got tomorrow evening off, which is the most important thing. :D

My husband and I booked a cabin for the next four days so we'll be on a bit of a road trip tomorrow. Our thanksgiving dinner will be grilled burgers and wine, once we get there.

Started on Thanksgiving super late... at this rate, I think we'll be eating around8. lol. My heart just isn't really in it, this year, but my 13-year-old is all about food, so doing it anyway.

Tomorrow morning, I'm being picked up at 6am, and taking a Greyhound to my friend's funeral... Black Friday, indeed.

Why is it called 'Black Friday'?, it's weirdly become a thing now in the UK but I've always been confused on the original of the term :/
