I just got a bunch of my hair chopped off and it feels awesome. And now it's burrito time. Hell yeah.

I had never eaten them until last month. That is definitely not the case anymore.

 

That's too bad, because they can be quite delightful, especially when they're cooked in...

i don't know if i've told you guys about my landlord before but he's... kind? so when i met him and his wife about a week ago they told me they were off to go blueberry picking. i just said "oh, cool, blueberries are good". and that was all that it took. since then they've come to me with a big box of blueberries three times! i don't know how much blueberries they think i eat, because i said they were good, but even i'm struggling to keep up with these amounts. but it's awesome. i'll just have to keep eating more of my other food to make more blueberry room in my freezer.

 

I wish I had a kind blueberry fairy to bestow me with gifts! They'd go so well in my yogurt right now. I added some figs from the tree in our bar back patio and some toasted coconut, but blueberries would be swell.

 

picking fruit is a lot of fun when you don't actually do it for a living.

I spent three summers detassling corn and walking soybeans, which I admit isn't the same as picking fruit but more or less the same category of temporary farm labor. Back when minimum wage was under $5/hour.

 

Besties, I'm going over to the DMV today to get my car signed over to me. Then I'm going to Chipotle to have burritos!
