JCC new best friends club thread

It's been a long time since I listened to or even thought of Bryan Adams, besties. But tonight I had a dream. I heard his evergreen "Drop Through The Ages" on the radio. One of those songs everybody loves.
When I woke up, it took me a while to realize it doesn't actually exist! I have dreamed it up, like Keith Richards dreamed up "Satisfaction".
So, anybody here who can sing like Bryan Adams? We can make a fortune!

 

you woke up with music and lyrics intact? That's an impressive dream.

 

And a good song, too! But I can't take any credit, I didn't consciously come up with it.

 

Take credit! You've been diligently providing your brain with all the inputs necessary to allow it to work on the problem of creating a better Bryan Adams song than one Bryan Adams could create for himself.

Had a dream last night where I go to my living room, and find my old, deceased dog playing around with my current dog. So bizarre.

 

It was in a way, but it was one of those realistic dreams, and those always creep me out a bit, for I spend some time after I wake up feeling as if it all really happened.

 

Hi Bezzies. My grandmother died this morning, aged 97. I'm extremely sad, obviously, but proud of her for remaining independent until the end. She was a mother for 71 years, a grandmother for 45 years, a great grandmother for 26 years and a great, great mother for a year. An outstanding innings.

She was a nurse during World War 2, proudly serving her country, and during that time met my grandfather. At the time she was engaged to another man. Well within six weeks of meeting my grandfather and courting with him "chaperoned by her brothers) they were married, and remained so until his death 50 years later, 23 years ago.

She was proud Yorkshire lass, fiercely loyal to her family. I'm so glad my kids got to meet her, even if two of the three won't remember it.

Love you, Nanny.

Im hoping I can get to her funeral, but transatlantic last minute are a beast of a price.

Sounds like she was an amazing woman, who lived an amazing life. May she RIP, and you have my condolences.

 

Condolences, Diggy, and now I'm sorry I never visted her for you all those times I was in Sheffield.
