Hi besties. I have not been around for a while, but I'm at celebration and I wanted to say hi!

hi besties, i am here liking famousamos's posts while i sit across from him at a restaurant.

 

So, Target has implemented a change in the overnight (for the stores that have overnight crews, that is) procedure that began last night/today: we no longer stock & scan the food department; a separate team takes care of that. At the moment, I've been asked to be a part of that, so the 2nd half of my shift will be dedicated to that; 1st half for normal duties.



I bring it up because hours are being cut, since there's less for the crew to do, so as I (and a couple of others) are still there around 4-5am, everyone else's shift ends (which most of the time ends at 7). So incredibly awkward to deal with, because while I'm still getting normal hours, too many others won't be now... it was gut wrenching seeing everyone leaving early in such a circumstance. In the future, I may have a different shift, where I wouldn't be part of that same crew, but for now, there's going to be this terrible awkwardness.





Saving grace this morning, so that it hasn't been a complete **** show of a day, is that the Stern show has been particularly good, so there's that.

 

I hope everyone who was at Celebration had a wonderful time at Celebration. This was the closest I've come to going to Celebration yet and possibly the closest I will come without actually going. Next year is going to be the year. I feel it.

 

I don't think there is a Celebration next year, bezzie.

 

You can see how tuned in I am to this event. This was the first year I was on the website with my mouse poised above the "purchase" button. It was a very close call.

On the plus side, I managed to get both the boys together with my parents for the Easter weekend (this is why I wasn't in Orlando) The 21 year old is leaving for the summer in New York in 5 weeks, so we really wanted to see him.

 

I am at the library and I FINALLY found a chair I can sit in without getting leg cramps. Do you think they will let me check it out? I only need it for another week.

 

Besties, my dad/stepmom wouldn't pay their bills and now they are living with me. So now I gotta deal with their drama for a few months until they save enough rent money for a house... Fun.

 

This is the circle of life. You raise your kids. They go off to school. They come back from school and move into your basement. They move out and get their own house with a basement. You move into it.

 

You didn't need it for a full week bestie! Congratulations.

Morning besties!

I've been sitting in my office without lights for the past hour or so. I thought the power outage was just in my building as it appeared the buildings across the street had power. I just discovered that it's a huge power outage in San Francisco.

 

According to the news it's there's also huge power outages in NY and LA.

 

The only tangible benefit of my work week beginning on Friday's is that the buses are always less crowded on the weekend mornings, so it makes leaving work less stressful.
