Hi bezzies, due to the power going down, I was sent home from work seven hours early. Still getting paid, so it's a wonderful day indeed.com miserations to those less fortunate.

 

Besties, I sent out 14 job apps today, and this weekend is looking very very busy with brewery visits and whatnot.

Besties I just finished up my 9th softball game in the last 10 days. It's been an exhausting blast and both teams won their playoff games this week. But I also now have my elbow and shoulder wrapped in ice. And my boyfriend tore his ACL. And both teams have their next round playoff games on Monday.

It's been quite the roller coaster.

 

me and lloyd are torn acl besties now. that really sucks tho.

 

Hey besties.

Went for a blood test today and a charity event was doing on at the hospital. There was a man dressed as a clown (I have a fear of clowns) and I screamed when he went to give me a hug.

 

My wife's cadaver ACL is so much better than the one she used to have.

 

I guess they're taking a ligament from maybe the back of his leg and using that rather than a cadaver? Which means an additional wound to recover from but it sounds like that's better for athletes so yeah.

Something in writing be it technical writing, editing, publishing, etc. There looks to be a lot of job opportunities in the Twin Cities area. Keep my fingers crossed I guess.

 

yeah, that's how they did mine. the recovery is long, but he'll be good as new. FRIDAY!

I'm probably going to Valerian tonight out of fidelity to the genre, but I promise not to enjoy it.

Friday for most, another start of a work week for me... however, I did find out during last night's shift that my vacation request for August (2 weeks from now; half of the time will be spent in Vegas!) was approved.

 

nice tunes, i'm going to reno for a week in september. my dad and i are finally going to finish the trip that got derailed by his faulty heart last year.

hope you two have a fantastic time. I've flown in and out of Reno twice but have never spent any time there. You want a great scenic drive - Old Donner Pass road past Donner Lake off of I80 southwest of Reno.

 

i was actually born in reno, lived there for the first seven years of my life, and have spent quite a few vacations there since. donner lake and that whole area are some of our favorite haunts.
