Ooo...more jello! How about pudding? Preferably chocolate!
Hi besties. I’m getting surgery in a couple of hours and my anxiety levels are off the charts!
Good luck with the surgery!
You'll do great Dave!
You got this! Break a leg!
Best wishes bestie
best wishes for a successful procedure! please check in with us when you can
Enjoy the vasectomy, here's a comic strip!
(WARNING: There is probably language in there...)
Hi besties, I came into work this morning and was like "I'm going to be very productive today!" and you can all see how that is going.
You'll be fine. Relax and take your time recovering (depending on how invasive a surgery we're talking about) and you'll be back to the day to day grind before you know it!
Sounds like how I expect my day to go. May you have at least a productive 30 minutes stuck in there to help cover for the rest of your day.
welcome maulfly. i hope being cut open went okay dave. happy monday to all my besties. we can do this.
This is my first day back to work since December 22nd. I really regret getting up this morning.
i only had two days off and it's still horrible! thank god for coffee.
Hope everything went well, Dave, and you're enjoying the Good Drugs now.
What a calamity.
@JoinTheSchwarz good luck with the surgery. Don’t try to be all badass when you’re done, take the drugs every 4-6 hours.
The sore throat from the tubing is the worst part of it. I can barely speak. Ow ow ow.
@JoinTheSchwarz Hello! Feel better.
Good evening, Besties!
I went to check the pipes in the crawlspace under my house and the worst has happened: a pipe burst due to the cold!
Now I have to wait to get it replaced
@JoinTheSchwarz Best of wishes to you on your recovery! I haven't been through any surgeries myself and I don't wish to...
@The Bigger Fish and I had a serious baby conversation recently:
Mike: How do I know the baby isn't Batman's??
Yvette: She is very blonde. Val Kilmer was the only blonde Batman and I wouldn't have slept with Val Kilmer Batman.
Mike: Oh... so there's no trust fund?
Looks like we have to pay for her college after all.
tell me there is a glimmer of hope to this tale of woe
Only that I have a friend and my parents coming over to assist me in fixing it. My dad was in a Plumber's union so I always go to him for advice on this sort of thing. I can handle basic stuff like pipe replacement, but I still prefer the guidance.
Thank you, besties, for the help last week. I got the offer today and it was higher than I expected. It's actually the average if you look on Glassdoor. Do I take it or counter?
My start date would be Jan 29.
So do I continue to work in my contracted position and just peace out and continue to earn monies?
Do I do the "right" thing, and let my contract company know and then they get to decide how much longer they're going to keep me?
