Char, NC New Board Layout [version 4.0]

Heya everyone
Just wanted your opinions on the new banner images and colour scheme for this board.

The theme for this layout is Alderaan. I used a photo of Leia onlooking space from TESB (I think a promo photo). She's viewing Alderaan... thus the ocean and lakes, beautiful sunset and water. The rock formations behind the logo were a nice touch to keep it from being bland, and are really round and organic (as Alderaan has been described to be). The Republic cruiser signifies the glory days of the Old Republic, which are also Alderaan's last few years. The Death Star is self explanitory. I also threw in Luke and Han on the sidebar for the relationships they share with Leia.

So.. thoughts, comments, reactions?
And I hope you like the layout. This is the 4th one we've had and probably the one we'll stick with quite some time

Seriously, though, I tried to make the actual "thread" fields lighter in background. The original colours were just way too dark (ask EagleI.. he saw them, I think.. ). Anyways...

I really do like this scheme, James. It's colorful, yet easy on the eyes.

It took a while to get the right colour combinations, but the colours fit nearly perfectly. And this is a lot easier to read than the blues and cyans of the last theme (even though that theme was awesome ).

And just by chance, these are also "Autumn" related colours.

 

yes autumn colours are good I like those type of colours

It's all more of a light, creamy red with a dash of brown

Mind you, I'd of course like it better if it starred my glorious young Luke, but that's OK... hee hee hee! The Alderaan is a nice idea! I really liked the last one too, liked the greens and blues, but I think I prefer this one cos I could never read the post times, they faded in to the green. This makes it much easier for me!

I'll be making modifications to the banner this weekend

 

Alright. A new banner image set has been uploaded, the titlebar at the top (the Points of Interest bar) and the sticky thread are up.

I'll be working more on the background image (where the quick gradient runs off) this weekend when I have more time, but as for now, I wanted to get the new foreground up.

And a thanks to Mandy for getting all that code up and making the thread sticky.
