New Board Theme

Boy that was quick.


Just so everyone knows, the graphics are hosted by our site, so we can change them in the future, the colors of the board we would have to resubmit to the admins to change.

Right now the banner will be Grimby's Blue Version. I have no problem with us having votes every month if someone comes up with good looking graphics for the banner, and i'll substitute the new files.

Actually, the graphics are hosted by TFN now, so as not to slow things down in here, for now. I uploaded all the graphics to TFN's server.

If you need them changed in the future, just PM one of the Administrators who have access to the server (that'd be myself, NathanDahlin, Commander Antilles, or MysterySith), and we'll be happy to update them.

If you'd like to host them on your own site, I suppose I could talk to Anthony about that, but for now, I would just prefer to host them on TFN's server, so as not to slow things down.

You'll probably see some image and color flickering in here for a while while the server and your cookies adjust to the changes, but it should settle down in about 10 minutes.

Let me know if any of the color schemes are screwy.

I'm sorry for the assumption, I was going by what I had seen on the other cities customs schemes, that the files were on their websites. I didn't know that wasn't the automatic way to do it.

 

This does ABSOFRAGINLUTELY ROCK!!!!!

 

I'm not sure it isn't. I'll check it out. If it looks like I'm wrong, I can easily swap the URL references over to your server in about 5 seconds.

Hi SC!!!!

Glad to see you finally get to look up from the sewing machine.

We all took the icon to celebrate getting it uploaded and to protest the loss of so many icons that people were recognized by.

They deleted a bunch earlier in the week.

I'll probably switch to a new OW icon if they include a new one (fingers crossed for Grimby's) in the new batch of icons to be uploaded soon.

 

I've looked around ... some of the FF boards host their own images, but you could suffer the fate of the Charlotte, NC board that way ... they're imageless!

Or, it could be slow, like the Chicago one.

I am always happy to help out, so if you guys need the images swapped, please don't hesitate to let me know. Just point me at the source images, and I'll swap 'em out. If it turns into a big hassle (like you guys asking me to change the images 10 times a day), then I'll point the images to your server.

All the props are Grimby's, I just changed some file names, uploaded some files and pestered a certain RSA with a similar name to mine, who came through like a champ.

I think i suggested the change of the banner color from orange to blue, to better match with these board colors...yeah...yeah...that's the ticket....it was when I was dating....Pamela Anderson...yeah.
