***New C&P banner needed!!!*** - discussion

Well everyone, it has been awhile since we had a new banner, and with the 30th anniversary happening this year it would be a good time for some new ones.

Theme - well, Costumes and Props naturally, but beyond that I don't want to really narrow it down since the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the saga, and the many wonderful years and movies we've all enjoyed since then, leaves lots of room for just about everything Star Wars.

There is the Banner makers' thread here, with how to's etc.

Check out the other forum sections' banners for inspiration as well.

Before I create a separate thread for submission entries with a deadline, I thought we could discuss any other ideas that might come up here first.

- Have a poll for voting on submissions
- Rotate the 3 highest scoring entries, say every couple of weeks, or month or so

Well, I think it's a marvelous idea! This current banner will always be special to me but it's been up a long time!

I think your idea of having three banners to rotate is a great one. I always enjoy going to forums that do that because it makes it seem fresh everytime you see a different one.

I'm not good at making banners myself, but I hope lots of talented people who are come up with some good ideas. Maybe they can incoropate some detail shots of the costumes which have been on display?

 

Too bad Justin (Primrodo) is busy making banners for the sonsofthesuns site. I bet he'd love to do it!

Hey I am still around...I've just taken my Anakin Costuming needs to a whole new level

I may give it a shot, no idea where to go though. I do love this banner I admit

I've been told that his name must be chanted three times while standing in a circle of salt with lava red candles placed strategically around the room. OR, one must guzzle a thousand DeW Fuels and loose a monstrous belch upon the land. I went with the candles and salt.

I like the idea of rotation the top three.

 

Unfortunately I make only costumes, no tbanners. Perhaps a tad more color in the next one though.
