I'm getting really bored of this whole 'Hey we'll just paint over some shots from the movies" approach to comic book artwork.

There must be someone out there who can actually draw?

Whenever I see these shots it just lifts me straight out of the comic story and back to whichever shot from the movie they're taken from

With Luke at least it seems though it was original and not from the movies, even though it doesn't really look like Luke.

 

I suspect it really is just traced images of Matt Damon.

In that frame of Luke and Han being held hostage by Two Tubes, I am 99% sure Han was traced from "You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?"

 

I love that alien person! I think of him as Saw's BFF. I was happy to see them together in Star Wars Rebels as well.

from Battlefront 2? Seems like a pretty huge deal to me.

 

huh, usually they leave those kind of things up to interpretation.

 

Is anything revealed about it other than the name of the project?

To be honest every time I think something in the new canon is going to actually have some serious significance in relation to the movies I end up disappointed as it turns out not to be that big a deal after all.

I'm pretty sure they deliberately troll us sometimes.

 

The later part of the game sees protagonist Iden Versio predictably turn tails on the Empire and join the Light Side of the Force. Alongside former Imperial soldier Del Meeko, Versio fights at the Battle of Jakku (the event that litters Episode VII's planet with starship debris) and witness the "destruction" of the Empire.

Thing is, during all that they strike up a relationship and end up staying at Jakku. According to Battlefront II's epilogue, Versio and Meeko have a daughter on the planet, before Meeko disappears and Iden leaves the planet to go searching for him.

In case it isn't clear, it is strongly implied that child is Rey. Both Versio and Meeko are capable pilots and soldiers, and Meeko also happens to be an extremely skilled mechanic who displays a small amount of Force sensitivity. Rey is all that and more, making it highly plausible that she is the daughter of the Inferno Squad couple.

From battlefront 2... that would be extremely disappointing if true.

The name of this battlefront campaign is hopefully just misleading?

 

Taking into account who's up to the Project
I bet it has to do with the "rebirth" of the Empire.
Therefore with the rise of the FO and in particulary
to how they've got and raised... The stormtroopers.
If this is the point and it's going to be addressed in the movie
maybe that's what may make persnonal for Finn to fight.
I mean, maybe he's going to find out how he was really
taken from his family

 

Whats so entirely frustrating to me about Battlefront 2 isnt that loot crate fiasco, it's the fact that they sold an incomplete game. That's not DLC, they just had to release the game in November without spoilers. It's locked content. If you're going to buy the game, don't buy it until that "DLC" comes out. Then it will be a full game.

 

That's literally a nothing-spoiler. We already know all that stuff from books like the Aftermath-series. If they make a huge deal about it and only release it after TLJ, it's got to be a bit bigger.

 

It's going to tie in directly with TLJ. We'll definitely see Crait (the music for the multiplayer loading screen was leaked), I bet we'll even see D'Qar.

 

You do realize most people aren’t buying the game for the campaign right? There’s more than enough content in the base game to justify the asking price IMO.

 

I hear Disney is going to confront EA about this fiasco.

No, Walt did not rise from the dead just to specifically perform this task.

 

Of course, that's why they didn't release the game during the holidays. EA set the release date for November, because this is the month for big video game releases. Disney and Lucasfilm probably had to remind EA that they have a certain film coming out the next month and they can't show what will happen a month earlier. Therefore, EA held back the second half of the campaign so they could release the game this month. Most people buy the game for the multiplayer, so they overlook this obvious truth. I think it's unethical and there are plenty of fun multiplayer games to keep me entertained for the moment (in addition to unceremoniously complaining on online message boards! ) so I won't be putting $60 down on this game until they release the second half of the campaign next month.
