ST New Canon Material (novels, TV shows, comics, games) and TFA

Any UK'ers have any words as to when Rebels may return? We still haven't had Path of the Jedi, which is ridiculous. When the show went on a hiatus during Christmas it just seemingly (and abruptly) ended in the UK with Gathering Forces. I've searched the TV guide for the next week and all the episodes XD are showing (which isn't many) are just repeats. I can't believe they've done this.

Jorgensen confirmed that the shooter is due to launch before Christmas 2015. More specifically, the game aims to be "aligned with" Star Wars Episode VII -- The Force Awakens, which arrives on December 18, he said.
DICE's new Star Wars: Battlefront is not directly based on the upcoming movie from J.J. Abrams, though it will share some general universe themes, characters, and items.

About the game in general, Jorgensen said DICE will share more about the project in the coming months. He went on to say that Battlefront's launch this year will be a "very large activity" for EA overall, on level with the company's blockbuster Battlefield series.
"We're extremely excited about that," Jorgensen said about Battlefront. "We think there's huge potential for that title. More to come in the next couple of months on that as more about the movie comes out as well as more about our title comes out. You should consider that a very large activity for us [this year] and a very large focus--similar to how we've thought about Battlefields in the past."

Yeah, only episodes on demand are the ones that have aired. It's only fair they shouldn't air the episode early for only a few select providers. Some would say "switch providers then", but why go through all the hassle for one show? I mean, a week's nothing, but still, it's the principle.

 

Depends on your provider, Comcast has then on demand usually a week before they are aired.

 

Thats damn stupid why would you air your episodes that far apart.

 

When they have fewer episodes than weeks to fill.

 

I wouldn't say "switch providers", since I, like you, have TWC. The early Rebels eps are about the only things I like about it (shoddy reception, terrible DVR options compared to the plans advertised on TV, unstable OnDemand service, constantly shuffling the channel lineups and possibly even the tiers...blech)

 

By TWC, I am assuming you mean Time Warner Cable?

I'm perfectly fine with them facing each other more often than we see in the films.

 

When I saw ESB, I thought Vader and Luke met for the first time. Having earlier duels makes that less special IMO. But well, let´s say they met before, does it have to be on the first two issues of this comic? This early? Are we going to see more of these duels between them. If that is the case, is Luke going to keep saying Vader killed his father?. I would not have crossed their ways this soon. Same case with Anakin and Dooku during TCW.

 

Ugh... yeah, I don't like seeing Luke face Vader this early at all. They should not meet face to face before TESB, and not be in each other's area before ANH (the trench run, where Vader senses Luke's strength in the Force). This makes no sense given those examples. And also, that dialogue... "I've killed very many fathers. You'll have to be more specific." That does not sound like Vader at all.
