But keep in mind that if he did say Luke was the last, that doesn't necessarily mean Kanan/Ezra die. They might be prisoners, or simply out of the picture. So if he really thought it was as important as some of the OT fundamentalists, he'd say so.

I would have said it's possible they just quit the Rebellion to live their lives, but Kanan became such a perfect Jedi in the season finale, he seems much too selfless now.

That's right: Kanan is a better Jedi than most of the PT Jedi. Does anyone really want to tell me that Quinlan Vos is a better Jedi than Kanan? Or Anakin?

 

Seems like Kanan still has ways to go according to Filoni, but I agree he seems to be a better Jedi than most from the PT.
what about Kenobi, he was a good Jedi til the end???

 

I have a hard time believing Kenobi would save Maul if he were hanging there.

But it sounds like their plan for Kanan is to become more and more at one with the Force.

 

but Kenobi changed after his master's death and it was after his death that he finally took Qui Gon's teachings to heart.
if you remember during most of Episode I, he was kinda self conceited (not sure if right word to describe him).

Yeah not liking what DF is shoveling.....these guys could have picked a different era to have no restrictions to adhere to and Star Wars fans would have ate it up....me included....But no.

For me there will be a cut off point. I'm sure everybody has their own level of tolerance....

If this stuff starts to inject itself into the movies then it becomes more problematic....I'd really hate to discard a whole new generation of Star Wars media...especially when IMO there were so many other opportunities to create exciting and compelling material in the GFFA.

 

I may have missed it, but has anyone discussed the possibility that "Rose" is Ahsoka? Would seem to be a great way of maintaining Lupita's beauty for the film...

don't think so, both Making and SWU have described Rose as being definitely a new alien.

 

While that would be amazing, Lupita is too young. Ahsoka in Rebels is in her early 30's.

 

SWU even said they saw a concept of Rose as being orange, also isn't this ONE concept of Rose.

 

Yes, that seems to be one concept. Though MSW has said that the concept art for her ranges from really old to really young. Given that they chose Lupita, I imagine they may go the younger route. Though she will be mo-cap...

can't wait for Darth Leia, but Leia is still Dark based on rumors wanting to use a superweapon.
which makes me even more interested in this comic as it's supposed to be after Alderaan's destruction and to finally see how she really felt/how she deals with the destruction of her planet and her trying to find survivors.

Also these comics +Heir to the Jedi should help fill the Rebels Void.

 

Wow, they really went all-out in the season finale of Rebels. The pacing moved a lot quicker than usual and was more action-packed, but I loved every moment of it. It definitely felt like a launchpad for our characters to transition into a larger universe, a larger cause, a larger story!

 

Rebels finale aired yesterday. I bought Heir to the Jedi today. Will be buying Princess Leia #1 tomorrow. We truly live in a new golden age of Star Wars.

I just finished reading the first chapter of Heir to the Jedi, whilst listening to the Batman 1989 soundtrack (highly recommended).

 

I hope we are going to see a truly efficient empire from now on but I feel it is unlikely.
