The story group can be involved in a project and yet it still be apocryphal. Wookipedia's cite does not prove the assertion they're making, re the Korean webcomic, though it is likely.

I think it's canon, the storygroup is involved and I do remember them saying all stories moving forward are canon.

 

They're also involved in things like the Lego stories, however.

 

comedy has never and will never be canon, this isn't a comedy.

Man, Imgur is gonna steal all of Lucasfilm's thunder. They need to get that official translation underway in a hurry.

I'm really glad people are stumbling over this more and more. it's really, really good stuff.

 

Ben tells him right there that he knew his father, but the dinner scene in ANH suggested otherwise.

 

That comic is great. If that's the standard we're getting from the story group (in top of Rebels) we have nothing to worry about.

 

Owen tells Luke that Obi-Wan probably died about the same time as Anakin, portraying him as a different person to Ben.

 

Also, there's a pretty big time lapse between Ben saying that to Luke, and Owen reinforcing it later on. It's a time period of 10 years. Also Luke just got messed up in a sandstorm. I think it's more than plausible that Luke either a) didn't hear or forgot that Ben ever said that while he was convalescing or b) Luke got stonewalled the next time he tried to ask Owen about it, and it's almost never actually been brought up between the two until that dinner conversation 10 years later, at which point of course Luke is going to seize the opportunity to press his Uncle.

In the old EU, Obi-Wan did save a young Luke and had several interactions with him. Uncle Owen, in the end, prevented Obi-Wan from seeing Luke anymore.

Screw the Fett anthology. I want a Luke anthology. In fact, three short character-driven stories about Leia, Han, and Luke. Edit: pre-ANH specifically.

I love that Korean comic is it actually canon though? one thing about it was Obi-Wan uses his lightsaber in front of Luke. wish there had been another way to stop the krayt Dragon so ANH would have been the first time luke saw a lightsaber.
