I only got The Dark Tower #6 this week. It's as good as always. Beautiful art.

Action Comics #851 3-D Variant Edition: Somehow, I missed something. Or a lot of somethings. Either way, I was lost. Also, getting the 3D version didn't help.

Black Canary Vol 3 #1: Not bad, not great, not bad. I'll keep reading. Art is decent (not great), writing is decent (not great), but the characters are good, and the situation so far is fine. Nice last two pages - well handled, I saw everything I wanted to see on the second last page, and missed the obvious.

Countdown #43: Decent enough, but I would have liked to see more private thoughts of the Titans, how they dealt with it themselves. Also: lack of focus on the main plotline is annoying.

Detective Comics #834: Highlight of the run so far. Great Joker story, gruesome, gory, crazy, and nice Batman and Zatanna relations.

Y The Last Man #57: The only book that does better with making humans seem real is Ex Machina. GO figure. The revelation was was telegraphed from issue #1, but it still hits hard to have it confirmed. Alas, poor Yorick. And ouch, Beth really got shot through the heart in the final scene.

Ultimate Power #6: Very uneven art and writing, but the reveal on the last page was very nice. If predictable.

    Thor 1
    really cool

    Runaways 27
Decent enough, not a huge fan of where the story "is" but still a good one.

    Fallen Son: Iron Man
A decent final chapter, started some rumors but apparantly in civil war 4 you can see a "steve rogers" looking fellow in the background. I have yet to look but...take it for what it's worth.

    Dark Tower 6
Sweet art as always but i've yet to read it.

    Uncanny X-Men
Another addition to the endagered species line. It wasn't bad. but I was hoping it was better.

Thor #1; this first issue gives a wandering feeling much like the Hulk tv show. I don't know that that will be the idea behind it, but that's the aura it gave. I like Thor basically talking himself into returning by basically talking to himself(the Doc). The art I could take or leave.

Fallen Son #5. So many things are right an so many things odd, and so many things important to our times. I know the writing behind Civil War was meant to address our current real world situation of a President taking away rights. Tony Stark being one of the pallbearers, essentially buring the symbol of freedom, symbolizes this nicely in this issue. However, I suspect Tony becomes only a temporary "villain", and at some point all of this has the potential for a fall and redemption for him which could make for a good storyline. I wonder if Thor were around if they would have taken the body to Asgard? Spoiler: Something gets buried at Arlington, but it's not Cap. Cap is taken back to where the Avengers originally found him with help from Namor at the end. Good issue, essential I say.

There were some good comics that came out on the 5th. I really liked fallen son, and thor. I think JMS is setting up some interesting ground work for Thor and i'm looking foreward to seeing how it plays out.

The Astounding Wolf-Man #1 & 2 - I thought this was a horror book but it turns out it's a superhero book. I'm not a big fan of superheroes. I was disappointed by it.
