Also out this week is the first title from Red 5 Comics: Atomic Robo, and I must say, if the rest of the series manages to keep it up, this might become my new favorite series (ok, ok, second to Cable/Deadpool).

    "Move and we shoot!"
(with several Nazis clamped to him, trying to bring him down) "I'm comfortable with that."

I also dug a few things out of my box from the past couple weeks- including a couple DC titles. Now, i'm normally not a DC person, but Green Lantern was one of the few things that always caught my eye even though I didn't actually follow it (I'll definitely be checking out Sinestro Corps War when it hits trade). In particular I recall seeing a figure of Paralax awhile back and always thought he looked very interesting, visually, so I checked out his one-shot in Tales of the Sinestro Corps, and rather enjoyed that one quite a bit (didn't care for the subsequent Cyborg Superman issue, though).

Another thing I'm curious about is Shadowpact- I absoultely love the artwork style of the recent issue (#17), but I'm unfamilair with the artist, so I'm curious if this issue was indicative of Doug Braithwaite's other work, or if it's mostly Alex Sinclair's coloring that brought the effect across. it looks like it was colored over the pencils mostly without being inked, so that might also have something to do with it.

The story itself was ok- the feel of the dialogue and plot still has the DC vibe to it that I don't generally care for, but it wasn't as bad as, say, Suicide Squad, and closer to a slightly more mature animated DC show where that vibe has generally been feel executed. Regardless, I do love the art.

Avengers: The Initiative continues to be pretty good, though I think i may have missed an issue because I don't remember the Freakazoid ripoff.

I'm also liking Terror, Inc, which I tried out with the most recent issue as well. Same goes for the Sub-Mariner miniseries which I read the last two issues of- what can I say? The Namor/Venom throwdown suckered me in.

Countdown and tie-ins weren't anything special, its loosing what steam it had. I'm loving GL, even though I've never been a big fan.

I don't think I even remember what's going on in Marvel, it's gotten so boring. Except the Namor series, that was pretty good.
