ST New Droid - BB-8

I know this is a EU moment but that the last time I heard anything about Anakin's lighstaber Luke gave it to Mara Jade as a token of friendship at the time it was never passed to another family member Im getting off the eu track this is my stop.

 

I believe the Pod Racer-like "engines" to be nothing more than generic pieces of machinery props. Precisely because we've seen them being used in other sets, which should probably not be involved with Pod Racers.

 

Apparently they found it during a massive cleanup.

 

Ok but I just thought the engines looked familiar.

 

Strong evidence that Rey is our new and first heroine protagonist, no?

Maybe? The ST is all about passing it on, baby!

 

the thing is there have always been rumors since not long after Disney announced VII-IX to now that THE Lead was a female which is something that cannot be said for males.

 

They are transferring their knowledge via USB.

 

Well, C-3PO would, but they keep giving him memory wipes so he can't.

Yeah, I'd think so too, but if she also winds up as the bearer of this saber that works.

 

I'm wondering if BB-8 is essentially the new Chewbacca of the ST, more a sidekick/best friend for one of the new young characters (Rey) rather than some sort of replacement for R2 or 3PO. Perhaps there will be room for all three droids.

 

The new "Chewbacca" seems to be Rose (Lupita).

 

That sounds terrifyingly like a Data-to-B4 knowledge transfer.

 

So if BB-8 and R2 have a scene together, will there be subtitles or must C-3PO be there too?

Well If he speaks binary then we are all Ok ....

 

I hope there is tension/rivalry between the droids. Leading to something that looks like that dumb show that use to be on Spike or whatever where robots fought...

 

well If they do what they did with Chopper in the last episode of Rebels, well actually the episode that airs this Monday the 2nd of February that I watched on Xfinity ON-DEMAND, which I wont give away but I will say it had me rolling on the floor in laughter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Please include spoiler in an upcoming text and fill me in! I'm behind in my Rebels and can use a pick me up to deal with my current injury and overall state...

 

BB-8 hopefully is a cool little guy. He looked like he was in a rush going somewhere in the trailer lol

 

I already love BB-8. I foresee this little droid to be very beloved by the new generation of kids.

 

I don't want BB-8 to take anything away from R2.
