ST New Droid - BB-8

Nobody puts BB in the corner.

 

Yeah. Or the book being based on old information. I don't think it's really possible for BB-8 to be on Starkiller, as footage shows him in the back of Poe's X-Wing in the atmosphere of Starkiller. Unless Poe lands, at some point, and meets with our heroes on the ground, this ain't happening.

 

BB seems alright. He'll definitely never replace R2 for me, though. But I'm positive he'll be better than 3PO, who gets on my nerves just a bit, and that tin can Chopper who I actually dislike.

 

Chopper is amazing though!

You know how astromech droids like R2 fit the classic X-Wings? Well I'm wondering if the new BB8 style droids fit all the new X-Wings and if we will see more like BB8?

 

I'm sure BB's not a unique modal just like R2 isn't. And didn't they say that both types can fit in the newer X-wings?

I wonder how LEGO is going to come up with an UCS version. I have faith in them...I seriously doubt they'll put out anything less than one where he doesn't spin, not counting the minifig.

Not to get the thread talking all about Chopper, I like him, but hes kind of getting annoying to me. Just the noises he makes get old fast....

Did I hear BB-8 say "please let go of me!" when Teedo has him in his net, or am I losing my marbles? No one else I've spoken to seems to have heard this, so I guess I may be wrong, but it does seem that Bill Hader helped voice him, so now I'm not sure?

For me BB8 is the best part of TFA.

 

One of the FO says that it's a BB model droid which implies that there's a whole lot of them.

 

Stole the show.

 

I thought there were a couple scenes where it seemed they were trying to make it almost intelligible in order to convey the meaning better.
