Lit New EU: What do you want to be Re-canonized?

1. The TIE Hunters and Imperial Escort Carriers used by the Storm Commandos, along with the SC's history as being founded by General Madine before he defected. I really like the idea that someone in the Empire, who I'd make Imperial Intelligence, decided to see if "beating the Rebels at their own game" was a feasible idea. I'd modify the TIE Hunter a bit by having it maintain its shields and missiles but lack a hyperdrive; the escort carrier can serve that purpose. And since the Death Troopers already use reflec armor, the SC can be the more adaptable and sabotage based variation on the Imperial Spec Ops idea.

2. Zsinj. I've been reading Wraith Squadron lately, and I'd almost forgotten just how awesome of a non-traditional anatagonist Zsinj is. And I think you could really just modify him a bit and stick him in the Post-Jakku time period as a good kind of Bond-Villain antagonist who operates outside of New Republic space. Just make him the military (or over-all) leader of someone like the Confederacy of Corporate Systems, embrace his evil businessman side, and have him stop using Stormtroopers and Star Destroyers in exchange for his Raptors and customized capital ships, and eschew direct confrontation with the New Republic for subterfuge and subversion of the other powers in the Galaxy. The Legends version was a great asymmetrical warfare villain, and the characters both theatrically villainous while still being hilariously engaging; he's the Miz of Star Wars badguys.

3. Jaster Mereel and Jango Fett's origin in some kind of Mandalorian Civil War. We've got the Great Clan Wars in TCW and Rebels, so just find a way to combine them. Maybe Mereel is a rogue Protector who raised a non-Clan levy of troops on Concord Dawn to fight Death Watch, so Jango can have a Mandalorian background without actually being Mandalorian. Heck, maybe Jango's claim to fame should be that he killed a Mandalorian (Tor Viszla, perhaps?) and took his armor.

 

Come to think of it, you could probably rework the Wraiths into a GIJoe-esque organization operating to counter criminal cartels and Imperial remnants in the New Post-Jakku Galaxy. Just have Zsinj and others play the part of Cobra, and throw in Rogue Squadron as well.
