    Hi
I'm new here and thought I would say hi to you all.
My name is Ian and I live in Hounslow, England.
I've been making films since 1985 and my recent efforts are fanfilms, I've made the series "Call it a Stargate" ( Download from ) http://mysite.freeserve.com/Superteam
( Lucky enough to have the real makers of the show email me and said they like it )

I'm currently working on a Starship Troopers fanfilm called "SMOOTHNECKS" 2 versions are being made at the same time, a normal version and a 3D version, glasses needed.( download trailer from) http://mysite.freeserve.com/starship_troopers

Once that's finished in November I'll be making the last ever episode of Dungeons and Dragons (cartoon) that never got made, mine will be live action but changed in post to look like the cartoon.

After that I had thought about a Starwars film, ( anyone interested in working with me ? )

I've been reading a lot of posts from people on here and you all seem nice and friendly and I would love to be a part of this.
Many thanks for taking the time.
    Ian Paterson

Hi there- I know you from the Alam DV forums. B4UAsk right? I used to post there as unclepain. Glad to see you joining up here. This forum has started to see more folks doing all kinds of different fanfilms, and I'm looking forward to your Starship Troopers flick. I'll keep my eyes open for an update.

Ian was real helpful in the AlamDV forums. I think he'll be a nice addition to this community too.

    Hi
So this is where you hide out unclepain, I always remember your Han Solo parady, I was so impressed by the acting.

Thankyou for the comments about wanting to see the Troopers film, infact I emailed Phil Tippet ( he's directing the straight to DVD release of the 2nd Troopers film ) I said in email that I'm just making it for fun and that I would rather him find out from me than someone telling him there is a fan film out there.

As for the Cartoon I've been trying loads of idea's to get the best look, so far:
Making the film into images and coloring each frame is the the best.
The other way I've tried is a mixture of after effects plugins and vegas video plugins.
if you want when I get a final result that i'm happy with i'l post it here with the details on how i've done it.

Once again thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcome! Always nice to have new blood (unless they troll the Social Thread... remember how KNick brought it up 20 pages in 2 days?). Hope you can find answers to your questions and that you can later answer the questions of others.
