Whoohoo!! More Star Wars Junkies in Fresno! I was starting to get worried, most of my SW friends live on the east coast and Canada!! This is sooo cool! Okay, two questions to for you guys. 1. Does anybody here live in Shaver Lake *waves from top of mountain and sneers at lowly flatlanders (lol!)* 2. Does anybody here go to Sierra Charter School?

As DSGeorge stated, we Mercedians have adopted ourselves into the Fresno Chapter here.....although a chapter doesn't technically exist. ?

well merced is quite a bit away from us fresnans... i'd really like to get the ball rolling on starting a fan force here... i could come up with some cool banners and icons and such... should be fun.

DarksiderGeorge and I have been contemplating this very subject recently. I agree 100% with Jedi-Finney, that Fresno is a bit far from Merced for members to be travelling back and forth on a regular basis. I'm not very willing to drive 60+mi on a weekly, or even monthly basis for meetings, unfortunately. My work and life schedule don't allow for it, sadly. I'd be willing to go down there possibly every 6-7 weeks, but that would be best I could do. However, with a chapter in Merced, weekly or biweekly meetings could be a very realistic possiblity. There is no doubt, DarksiderGeorge and I are hardcore SW fans, and dedicated to "La Causa". Finney, I will PM you regarding making banners, it that is cool. I'm no good with any sort of graphical/artistic progs, unfortunately. Now, another question....Would Obey-Wann be the person to contact regarding making a Merced board, or would we just share the Fresno board, even if we had our own chapter??

 

^ I'm actually the new RSA for California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii which comprises the new US Pacific Region of Fan Force. I haven't posted a thread to all the boards yet letting them know this as Fan Force hasn't "officially" announced the re-alignment of the Fan Clubs yet at FF.

So, does Merced want its own board or do you want to have a combination Fresno/Merced board? The only combo city board that I am aware of is the Dallas/Ft. Worth board. Let me know what you all decide. Someone should probably start a thread and take a vote on this.

 

Even though I shouldn't have much of a say in the matter, I don't see the point in seperating one already small group into an even dinkier group. I say do the Fresno/Merced board. Cause if we do that, we might as well keep splitting it up into counties: Kings, Tulare, Orange, etc. and those groups would just be WAY small.
