thats cool lookin, but i really like the rebel signal with the maryland flag in it.

 

That icon is GREAT, but I have to agree with Bigbroadcastah.......the rebel insignia with the MD flag is still tops!

 

Not bad, but I think that we've pretty much decided that we would rather not attach a team trademark to our logo.

Besides, Terps suck!

 

Why do we have to use the Rebel Insignia?

What about the Imperial one instead?

 

That's what I was thinking. Maybe a mix of the two. Rebel and Imperial. I saw one somewhere but I have to try to look for it when I get home.

 

I can do an icon with the Rebel and Imperial insignias together with the MD flag in them.

 

Well, I got to work on this new idea. Putting the rebel and empire symbols together looks alright. But then when you put in the flag, it doesn't look that great. I'm gonna put up some of the designs.

 

One of the City groups has already done that. Also the Minnesota group has an icon with crossed sabers and a picture of Minnesota in the background.

 

Ok, we don't wanna copy someone else's design. But it was still a neat idea.

 

That was one of the reasons for not using just the Rebel Insignia. It looked to me that more than a few cities were using that too.

 

Other than the rebel symbol, we could use the Imperial symbol, but the rebel represents Star Wars more. And, a lot of fanforces use the rebel because it's "the" Star Wars symbol.

 

Right, and if we were worried about accidently copying somebody else's icon, then why would we use the Rebel Insignia at all? That's all I was saying.

 

I don't think using the rebel is copying because it's a general representation. It's almost like everyone starts with the rebel symbol, where you go from there is your idea. I think it would be copying if someone else had their state flag in the rebel insignia.

 

No one else has a blue Rebel Insignia, I guarantee you that....

 

Let's have a beige insignia.
