That's not the issue. I'm trying to get the writing closer and it won't let me. I'm still working on it though.

 

What program are you using Mike?

 

open office + MS word. It's because it's a jpeg to start with. I don't have the original file before it was formatted. That being said, it has a border that when inputing the logo into the formats listed above, it won't let you type close to it.

 

You don't have any better programs?
Even Microsoft Paint would work better.
And if you like I can work on it.

Here's the logo. Let me know if it's what you guys like. I've got lanyards + badges shown here for everyone. I put these on card stock for longer life + durablity. Adam + Allen agreed it would be a good idea to have these as well.

I was thinking of making a few extra as honorary members of our group for the people showing up to give autographs and such. Exposure People!

 

One small change to the logo and that I changed the (parentheses) to the screen name to emphasize that rather than the date registered.

No word back yet. They're knee deep in a project that's happening on June 1st. I'll resend it to him after that. I might need to send it to Mary Franklin instead. We'll just have to wait on ordering anything until after that.

I don't see a problem with using it on the tags that Mike's making. We're not selling them or making money, so it should be fine. Besides, I don't think the LFL police will be at the library event.

 

From reading what was said, the badges shouldn't be an issue as they're used for
"identification". I don't see our new logo being an issue then for shirts, banner, etc. as we use them for the same reason.

Lastly, I like the idea of changing the registered to member since, consider it done.

Steve's response specifically states it's only ok for use as identification on a website and any other purpose would need further approval.

While it most likely wont be an issue for the library day we should limit it's use anywhere else until we get final approval.

When we do get approval we should send Steve & Mary a shirt too!

Well, where did you last see Waldo? Had he been drinking? Had you been drinking? Do you normally have a habit of losing people? And, who is this Waldo character anyway? I don't recall him ever posing here? Have you had him sign up? Why not???

Those are great Mike. It looks great. I agree about waiting for further approval about doing the shirts or banner.

 

I got an email today from LFL. They approved our "non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable use of" the logo. (they explicitly described it) There's a lot of legal-ese in it. It was sent in Acrobat format, so I can't post it, but I've made copies and will bring them tomorrow.

They also would like us to send 3 samples of t-shirts once we've printed some.
