Not sure if anyone else saw these or not, but a few days ago Rebelscum linked to eBay auctions with pics of the new Chewie and Han figures on card:

Chewbacca (Mynock Hunt)
Han Solo (Hoth Gear)

 

Ooooh I like those. gonna have to get those, even though I havent bought a figure in a very very long time. just dont have the funds anymore.

 

That new Han figure is something that I would of really liked as a kid.

It was just something about characters in masks with lightsabers.

KB Toys Exclusive... SAGA TIE FIGHTER!!! Available 06/25/03!!!

Yaaaay! My last TIE fighter was back from the POTF2 days, so I could use a new one and I absolutely LOVE all the Imperial ships (like TEH GUNSHIP , the Shuttle, TIEs, etc), so I'll definitely get this one!

I just stumbled upon it tonight! YAY!

 

New image of the Rescue on Hoth 4-pack due out later this year.

Are you sure thats a new image? the only thing that looks new is the droid...the tauntaun, Leia, and Luke look exactly the same as some i've seen before and the chewie looks very similiar to the flashback chewie. I hope its not new ...

 

Postman, all of the 4 packs are going to be rehashed figures. The "Ultimate Bounty" set is just the 300th version of Boba Fett, POTJ Aurra & IG-88, and old POTF2 Bossk. The "Imperial Forces" set is a repaint Emporer's Wrath Vader, kitbashed AT-ST driver, POTJ Stormtrooper, and a repaint "cone-head" droid.

So long as they price these things well they should be great for the kids. Since I took a break from collecting during the POTJ line, this is a good thing for me as well.

But back to this set...Chewbacca actually looks like a repainted Bespin Escape...that Luke's just a rerelease with no modification...Leia's been messed with a bit (and looks better)...and the droid is of course just a different deco of the AOTC preview droid. This set should be a nice complement to the upcoming Hoth Han.

 

Why is the tauntaun not connected to his tail?

 

Guessing it's just a removable tail, maybe they had to do that so it could fit in the packaging properly.

It's kinda funny looking though, now that I look at it closer.

But anyway, looking forward to Mynock hunt Chewie, even thogh he and the Mynock are stolen out of the Mynock Hunt 3-pack, which I never got. Those breath masks that came with that one Accsessory set cant even get around his head.

 

Hasbro has just posted some pictures of the upcoming Action fleet Jedi Star Fighter, Mon Calamari Star Cruiser, and A-Wing.

I like the look of the A-Wing. The blue makes it stand out. I wish I could say the same for the Jedi Star Fighter but it is the same old red color.

 

If it does have an open belly feture I hope its better than the vintage one. I always got my fingers stuck in it. Either that or I'd get them pinched in the spring loaded door where the characters sat.

Hey Sithman, that new TIE fighter looks really cool, but why must it be an exclusive? That means those people will keep it at 29.99, instead of putting it at 19.99, where it should be. I'll probably be getting one, though.

 

POTF2.COM has pics of the Rescue on Hoth 4-Mock Up Card, and they are reporting that the Tauntaun will indeed have a split apart belly!

That's what I was thinking. And, even though I already have 1 from the POTF2 era, I love TIES, so I'm sure I'll end up getting this guy too (even though, like you said, it should be $19.99).

 

Rebelscum said that Rescue at Hoth set will be a TRU exclusive. Will the bounty hunter and Imperial sets be TRU-bound as well?

The TRU here never gets anything good because they still have an army of Zam Wessells on the pegs.
