Gungi being a Jedi youngling in TCW voided that. Lowbacca was around long before that anyways.
Also pretty sure Rosh didn't die. He's probably still being annoying.
Lowie was grandfathered in to the No Jedi Wookiees Commandment by Lucas since he was made before. However, he got moved to the back burner due to the decree and the inability to write his dialogue.
I feel like Penin should have been in Crosscurrent or Riptide
I kinda liked the Bandy Geffer character, his name notwithstanding. He was pretty awesome during the first Mandalorian attack on the Jedi Temple. Outcast, I believe it was.
Off topic, but I'd love a book about the Bwu'atus. The young Jedi Knight (IIRC, Yantahar was a full Jedi by the time of Apocalypse), the naval commander, and their eccentric uncle.
I'm aware of wookiee Jedi stuff. I've been here a while. I haven't read the Korr books yet but I doubt Penin would have added anything positive since he is pretty unpopular.
I felt it was unnessasary to have another Bothan Jedi, but if there is going to be one, it might as well be a Bwau'tu
Bandy Geffer's name is terrible, they need to stop using him or have him change his name. But you are right. He is cool, he deserved a knighting more than Denning's random 30
They wouldn't need Rosh tagging along. Maybe Jaden calls the Temple in the middle of Coruscant night in a hurry. Penin picks up the comm.
"Hey Jaden what's up?"
"Rosh, put one of the masters on"
"Oh, ok what's up?"
"Kind of busy here, put a master on"
"Oh, are you in the middle of something, Jaden?"
-Blaster fire- "What do you think Rosh?"
"Oh yeah ok..."
Tricky Jedi - Nek has relative inside Temple, Nek reluctant to have anything happen to Temple!
Nek B'wautu is head of the GFFA military.
I don't think that a Jedi would betray the Order to the Military even if his relative is in charge there
No. you miss my point. Without a direct threat to the GFFA from the Jedi, Nek would seek to go to all lengths before allowing GFFA forces to fire on the Temple.
I'd genuinely like to see Rosh Penin pop up again.
In what capacity?
Butt monkey, genuine character, anything's fine. I know I'd enjoy seeing him and Kyle sent on a mission, or just a training session between the two. He could be quite the comic relief character, as long as the characters in the story hate him as much as the readers do.
Bumbling fool Jedi? The role needs filled.
Dude, what the hell? Those were good books, man, don't wish that dork upon them.
Well, they always need people for pointless deaths...
That is very true
Hang on, Rosh is the Jedi secret weapon - he irks people to death.
I do, as long as it was planned properly and we didn't have 3 authors doing whatever the hell they want.
Valin, Seff, Kunor, and Doran? Maybe throw in Ben, if only because he's currently a future Grandmaster who never seems to really interact with any Jedi not in his family.
I would love to see a Valin as lead, Doran as his best friend, Jysella, his sister and Doran's girlfriend, Kolir Hu'lya as the quippy jedi.
I could see a Ben and Seha book with possibly Nautolan and Cathar friends as well.
Before I entered the thread I thought you meant the NJO series had poorly thought out characters, not the actual order itself...
You're not the only one, I thought the same thing.
Good to know I wasn't the only one. It might have gotten ugly if it was.
