[color=003399]Late post... Sue me if I live. :p[/color]

    IC: Major Lance Soltaris

    Spica

Not surprisingly, the major was silent throughout the entire ordeal. He had only been a pall-bearer on one other day: when his SpecOps team and his wife had fallen at the hands of the Yuuzhan Vong. It had been a solemn day indeed.

Rest well, my friend. May the Light guide you.

Quietly, he moved his arm around his fiancee's shoulders, hugging her close and trying to calm her down. A remote part of him wanted to strangle the man who had insulted them all. He tried to bury it down, focusing on using what calmness he had in him. He had to... For the love of his life, for himself, and for everyone...

Dinn took in a deep breath and allowed herself to be comforted by Lance.

I'm sick of being on edge like this... she thought. Everyone is so angry and in pain. Palso will barely look at me but then again he has every reason; Lissa looks like a gust of wind will break her, all of her strength is going into keep all of us together...and Lance is doing so much, just to keep me in the here and now.

The cool air blew across her skin and made her long for space and darkness. The trees around them seemed to beckon....

"Let's get away from here," Dinn said, softly into Lance's ear. "Into the forest, where it's peaceful."

After spending some time in the funeral, Silver went to wander through the forest for some enlightment (after the Juka issue). For a moment, he feels like he is being watched. Suddenly a shape appears...

    What the, who's there?

    *No answer*

    *Silver draws his Lightsaber*

    Who's there?!

    *lightsaber sound*

    Are you a Jedi?

Suddenly, right behind Silver, a green skinned man, wielding a purple lightsaber appears

    We meet again, Shan.

    Murdock...You're....alive...

It certainly seems so. All these years, hunting you, and look at what you've become, an outcast, a measly outcast.

    SHUT UP!
I will not tolerate this insult to... MY people.

You've....changed. But you're the useless peon I've always known

An intense duel breaks out between the two. They're movements are so quick and agile one can only see the sparks of their lightsabers. Suddenly, Murdock stops, his left cheek bleeding... Then Silver on his knees, holding his face...

We shall continue this, next time we meet, and, sorry for the eye (Chuckles)

*Silver on his knees trying to hold, but his scream bursts out*

    AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    M-m-my.........E-E-EYE!!!!
    SOMEONE HELP!!!!
Silver runs back to the campfire, his eye severely burnt. Suddenly , he collapses, in front of everybody in the camp.

    Jim Palso rolled his eyes.

Another damn fight between Jedi and the damn Force. **** it.

Palso thought as he walked over to Silver, grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt and dragged him up to his full height. He moved the man's hand away from his face, took a quick look at the eye, and dragged the man to one of the shuttles for transport up to the MedBay without saying a word.

He wasn't in the mood for anymore drama right now.

Laine hurried after Jim, who was dragging the new recruit. That smile of his had told her many things--none of the least was that he either hated or feared Force-users. And his actions proved it.

"Jim," she said, "do you know where D'Nari is? She should probably take care of Shan's injury. And then, we need to talk. Even if you don't reply, I want you to listen."

Before this situation had erupted, she had wanted to blurt out with everything she wanted to tell him. But she knew it wasn't expedient to just spout her frustrations and worries and anger. His avoidance of her hurt, and for it being someone she had gotten to know only briefly, it was strange for it to hurt that much. She wished with all her heart that she knew what had happened. I don't feel like I'm trusted anymore, she thought, and after all that he told me, I don't know why he thinks I can't be trusted.

Lance frowned as he turned to face the love of his life. "Not as peaceful as I'd like," he said through their private Force bond. "I leave that decision up to you."

After losing consciousness, Silver wakes up, surrounded by Jim, Laine and M.O. D'nari

Huh? Why are you guys here, what happened?

    *sharp pain in right eye*
    Ow!
Okay, just noticed, i'm blind from one eye...

After her long meditation by the edge of the woods,
    Shasa wondered to the campsite.
D'Nari was checking something out on the new guy.

She sat close and felt the fire warm her.

    How is everyone holding up?

"Shan here just staggered out of the woods, D'Nari, and collasped. Jim was bringing him over here to take him to Medbay," Laine said, hoping that Jim had noticed that she hadn't said dragged.

*Jim lets go of him, Silver spots Laine*

Hey guys, thanks for helping me.

I-I still can't feel my right eye...
Hey Laine, can you tell me how bad is it?

Laine looked at Shan. "I think D'Nari's a bit more qualified to answer your question, kid."

Inwardly, she thought it looked kind of bad--but kept her mouth shut. What she had told Silver was the truth. That's why D'Nari was CMO, and she wasn't.

*Lissa stood, unresponsive to everyone's reactions to Juka's accusations. Slowly, she thought her way through their meaning and their cause...and came to a conclusion. The Archon approached her.*

Ma'am, My Lady and I will return to our ship. There we will wait until our son has had time to gather himself after this sad event. When he returns, we will be on our way.*

*Lissa looked at the man, her eyes at last clear of guilt. She nodded.*

I will escort you, sir. *She gestured for the royal couple to lead the way.

*Upon reaching the ship, the Archon paused at the bottom of the ramp, turning to face Lissa once more.*

I thank you, Supreme Chancellor, for the kind words of your missive, and please convey to Vice Chancellor Lightrider our thanks for the eulogy he presented. It was a fitting farewell for the man who once led you.

*Lissa nodded again.* He will not be forgotten by the Jedi Outcasts.

*Raceal and Surean Onman then turned and entered the ship and Lissa made her way to Tlo's Roguish Smile. She had found her own peace - once aboard the Stryke, she would offer it to the Outcasts and hope that they would realize it's truth.*

Well, judging from your pov, its pretty bad.

But at least the pain stopped.

Dinn nodded slightly to her fiance and slowed her pace to a steady amble.

Considering recent events, everything is quieter... she replied.

[ In the not so distant past...]

Dinn growled at the vision before her.

"Oh yes, my evil twin, how very original." she spat. "I suppose we duel to the death now?"

"Highly improbable. I am Death." the dark woman replied with a twist of a smile.

Dinn snorted and raised her blade. The noise of humming blades and cold voices surrounded her, putting her off balance. She used the stagger as an attempt to trick her opponent and turned it into a thrust. The blade went through the dark woman at about liver height. A wide eyed look stretched the spectre's features...but it quickly turned into a laugh. Dark Dinn merely stepped away from the blade and gestured. Dinn looked down at her own belly and saw the cauterised wound.

Collapsing to her knees, Dinn looked over at Lance, wanting to speak but the pain kept her silent.

And then she was standing again, her blade in front of her, the wound a dull ache.

"Try again, girl." Dark Dinn said, her voice low and soft. The marks on her face and hands seemed to burn on her pale skin. "You're not afraid of a little pain are you?"

    [ The Forest]

"I wish things could quieten down for good some days...if only to avoid all of the pain." she sighed, looking at her feet as she walked. "Everyone is so lost after...the battle, it feels like we're all falling apart."

    In The Past

Lance scowled. Oddly enough, that scowl couldn't be seen, and neither could the hard glare in his dead eyes. What could be heard, however, was the sound of heavy breathing, and a deep voice. "You lack the wisdom to see through your situation! If you continue on this path, the pain will become real!"

A quick glance would reveal that the once-caring soul had been morphed into the epitome of his own inner darkness. The heavy breathing, the deep and hateful voice, and the red lightsaber all pointed to one certain person: Darth Vader.

"You cannot fight the darkness with more darkness. Such is the path to your spirit's demise, and the rise of your hateful self as the ruler of your destiny."

A savage chuckle came from the sadistic woman as she twirled her dark blade. "You want to listen to him? Please... I'm you! I know you! Fight me! Bring on everything you have!!"

There was a sad tone in Lance's voice as he answered his fiancee. "In a way, Dinn, we are. I just hope that the new SCO is capable of bringing us back together before it becomes irreperable."

You can see the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor once I'm done. If you are a Force-user, drop any shieling you have and let me fix what's wrong.

*As soon as he allowed her, she sent her energies into his body and assesed the damage. He had a scratched cornea and the eye itself was pierced, so she smoothed out the scratch and repaired the rent. It took about five minutes. She had done it before and it was easy to fix. When she withdrew, she looked at his face and raised two fingers.*

    How many fingers?

"They will," Dinn replied, looking back over her shoulder. "Mett told me before he left what the meeting was about, as far as he knew anyway. Lissa has friends in high places who will help us get back on our feet." She felt a biting sadness that her goodbye to Mett had been so rushed and so stunted, but there was a message waiting for her at home from him. It would all be repaired. "We all just need to talk about it...what Knight's brother did back there was rude and full of misplaced anger, but at least he wasn't keeping it all in like other people are."

    [The Past...]

"You are not me!" Dinn yelled, refusing to look over at Lance, to admit what he seemed to be. She lowered her weapon and held her ground. "And I was never you."
"But you will be..." the dark woman smiled, mirroring Dinn's actions. "The power you had on that ship, the cold electricity of anger cutting down your enemies one by one by one, without stopping...it was a thing of beauty...not a clumsy murder like when you killed that Faleen woman." The woman stepped closer, switching off her weapon. She reached out with long fingers to touched Dinn's cheek. Dinn tried not to flinch, but couldn't managed to keep her eyes steady, She looked over at where Lance had been.
"Don't worry about him," the dark woman chuckled softly. "He will follow you, wherever you go. Darkness and Light. You won't ever be alone, so why choose? Cast off that silly, girl who can't control her powers and become me."

"And what in the Nine Hells are you?" Dinn asked, her voice a hiss.

The woman laughed, loud and deep. "I am strong and capable and serious. I command respect instead of pleading for friendship. I dominate my own destiny, not submit myself to the orders of men..." She leant forward and locked eyes with Dinn. "I am what you always wanted to be. And now you can take it."

Dinn smiled back, weakly. "No thanks."

    The Past

A smirk appeared on the dark woman's face. Slowly, ever so carefully, she laned in over the last remaining distance between herself and her other self and gave Dinn a slow, soft kiss on the lips.

    The kiss of Death.

When she finally drew herself back, there was a sickening grin on her face and a slight amount of blood running down her chin. Dinn would notice that there was a fair amount of pain in her tongue... Perhaps that explained the blood. "Don't you see?" the dark clone asked. "You can't separate from me. I am you!! JOIN ME!!"

A cold whisper of defiance could be heard from the Dark Lord of the Sith. Before the darkened soul of a woman could retort, there was a tall form standing between her and her target, glaring at her with ice-cold gray eyes. "I cannot interfere in this fight, but I will do all within my power to aid in your downfall."

"True. Some people need to express their anger. Heck, even I need to some times. And even you. But we can work on that. We can talk about it..." The major trailed off, simply turning to wrap Dinn up in a loving embrace. "And I would deeply enjoy this chance to talk."

It'll take a couple days for your vision to completely recover. The rent in your eye is delicate, so don't rub it any or you'll re-open it, ok?.

I need to speak to the Chancellor, so if you'll excuse me...

    [The Forest...]

Returning the embrace, Dinn smiled. "Then lets talk." She kissed him and asked silently. What's on your mind?

    [The Past...]

As she pulled back, Dinn's hand went to her mouth. ...Blood...

Lance stood between her two selves. The dark woman merely grinned and spun her dormant weapon in her fingers distractedly. "Ah yes, the knight in tarnished armour." she snapped into a defensive stance. "I really don't think we have any use for you right now, but please come back when you beloved and I are one. I'd be interesting in testing a few of your...skills, myself." She gave Lance a brief, predatory glance and with a flick of her hand, she flung him out of the way.

"Now, my dear girl. Shall we finish this?" The voice was saccharine. The long cold fingers reached out again and touched Dinn's fevered forehead.

...flash after flash...face after face...dead soldiers, the heated feeling of killing her enemies, of revenge... Dinn grabbed the dark version of herself. ...Dinn's blade danced before her, smoothing away all opposition...those who had hurt her, condemned her, thwarted her...the all fell before her...

"That's it," The dark woman whispered in her ear. "See how good that feels?"

...Dinn now stood, high above a seething crowd...the power she wielded crackling around her as she ordered her army...

"Feel the power, the satisfaction of controlling yourself and others. Know the beauty of the Dark within you..."

Dinn opened her eyes, but didn't see teh woman before her, or even the ready room. She saw her life, her dark life; she felt the emptiness inside and the power in her hands. No longer was she the clumsy, comical slicer - she was a warrior, a true fighter. But no one stood with her.

"You don't need them." the woman spoke in her ear, grabbed her hand. "You only need me."

The woman attempted to slide the ring from Dinn's finger.

"No..." Dinn said, her voice harsh. She clenched her fists, lacing her fingers around those of the woman, so much like her own. "No!"

The dark Dinn seemed to shudder slightly. Images of the happiness in Dinn's life, forgotten so easily in the wake of Knight's death, flooded through...
