The physical book (and a full-length e-book version) will be out at the end of the serialization period this summer; I'll post the ISBN number and link when I have it. The cover artist, by the way, is Paul Youll, who did the covers for SCOUNDRELS and the ESSENTIAL READER'S COMPANION -- and my editor, David Pomerico, was assistant editor on LOST TRIBE OF THE SITH. So there are some definite SW pedigrees involved here.

I think it's a really cool way to merge the release tempo of comics with prose; I look forward to doing more of it. Your recommendations placed on Amazon will help a lot.

And I plan to put supplemental material about the "Whirliverse" on my website as the story goes along: I just have to ask permission from the owner of the IP. (Oh, wait, that's me! )

Heh! I just need to remember where all my notes are! This is the trick with writing this way: I'm writing Episode 6 now while Episode 1 is being transmitted. It's like writing in the comics world -- earlier chapters are at various stages of proofreading, so any changes I make have to be reflected everywhere.

Just got read the first installment - it was definitely a fun read. Looking forward to future installments! Do you know if there are any plans to include "Human Error" in the eventual TPB of Overdraft: The Orion Offensive?

 

Darth, it's not going to be part of the main book, but I am looking at releasing it myself, perhaps as a freebie when the trade paperback comes out. That's still a little down the road.

And I have put the first supplement online, by posting my running glossary for the series on my site. It's not intended to be encyclopedic, but is rather the guide I was using as I went along, and it includes what was in "Human Error." I intend to update that after every new episode (#2 out on Tuesday) and add timelines and some other goodies.

 

...I was so gonna buy this, but apparently it's not available in my puny little country -- why that would be a problem with electronic publications I don't see, but there it is (not). Well I guess I'll just have to wait until the physical book comes out then... though I so love serial fiction

I haven't heard specifically why the Serials aren't on Amazon's overseas partner systems, but I would suspect it's because it's very new (they started them late last year and we're about the tenth one they've done) and there's probably some set-up involved that hasn't taken place yet. That's just a guess, of course. The collected ebook and physical book will be available overseas -- that, I know.
