On the Homepage under the latest news it says apparently a brand new Lego Special is coming out!

It was actually pretty funny... not as good as Robot Chicken's best skits, but definitely better than most of Family Guy's Star Wars.

 

Yeah, I don't have an interest in any of that type of stuff.

 

LEGO's always been a good part of my life since I was very small, and I think their various interpretations of the star wars universe have always been great. the first episode was really cute, so I'm certainly looking forward to this one as well.

 

Love Darth Maul igniting multiple lightsabers. There should be great jokes here if they're focusing more on darksiders.

What I like about Lego Star Wars, is that they can mix characters from different eras and it isn't annoying at all thanks to them being toys. I think of it as like the intro to Toy Story 3, where these are just representations of some kids playing Lego. I think that's where Detours stumbles, because there is no outside franchise representing Star Wars. Like with Robot Chicken they're action figures, with Leo they're Lego, with Family Guy they're Family Guy characters.

 

I can understand not liking this, but , you should watch the last one and this one. Between these, the Family Guy ones and the Robot Chicken ones they have been pretty good. Now watch Star Wars Detours come out and its not going to be in the same ball park as these. On one other note, hasn't anyone wondered why the Clone Wars movie and 4 seasons of supposed high tech animation and high quality storytelling hasn't gotten it an Emmy Award? Nor and Annie either. Yet, some of you guys back then ranted on GT clone wars micro series and those three seasons, 25 chapters, a little over 2 hours of 2-d animation with all that over powered stuff got (3) Three Emmy's and (1) Annie award victory. Hmm makes you wonder when someone else does it, it comes out better.

 

I will have to make the point that winning awards isn't necessarily indicative of high quality. Annie Hall beat Star Wars for Best Picture in the 1977/78 season despite the enormous influence of Star Wars on cinema from that point on, that doesn't make Star Wars inferior. TCW has been nominated many times and the show has gotten much better IMO from the beginning to now. There are weak episodes of course and those that shouldn't have existed, ever (Shadow Warrior, I am looking at you), and it was the same with CW, there was weak stuff (Mace on Dantooine...yeah...) and there was good stuff, like Anakin and Ventress dueling on Yavin 4.

 

Annie Hall is a damn good film!

 

Darth Vader comig out of the closet... That IS a little bit odd. I watched The Padawan Menace and it was quite funny I'm looking forward to this.

 

I never said it was bad, I'm just saying it does not have the cultural impact that Star Wars does and thus was not the right recipient of the Oscar (an award coincidentally I have no respect for).

 

I'm just a big Woody Allen fan.

 

It's tonight! Hopefully it's just as good as The Padawan Menace.
