ST New location photos & video (9/10) An Alliance starship base? New Pics, same location starts Pg 24

Your paragraph;

Is incorrect, there is only one X-Wing in a different colour scheme - the black and orange one - all the rest are white and blue. There is obviously a reason for it but I think we can put the idea of Jedi Steeds on the back burner for now.

 

This shot looks amazing. I notice they seem to have added some tree roots or branches down the side of the hangar entrances, I wonder if they will add any additional cgi effects to add other foliage or natural plantlife to whatever planet this turns out to be.

 

Hmm, interesting. I really like this new radar dish. Probably the only state of the art thing on the ship.

 

I'd imagine the set will be digitally extended, but I think it's a really good use of the location nonetheless.

Looks like a common power generator. There are at least 3 in the hangar set.

 

There isn't anything remarkable about that. The Yavin IV hangar scene in ANH had plenty of cardboard cutouts (only a single X-wing and Y-wing each were fully built mockups) and several pod racers in TPM were cutouts (Dud Bolt's racer, used in close-up during the introduction of the drivers, is a cutout).

 

Not to mention the Rebel troops in the final Medal Ceremony of ANH.

 

Which were so bad, they had to be replaced in the Special Edition.

 

Anyone else think this could be on Corellia? Or New Alderaan perhaps? Both worlds match the general environmental conditions found on Dantooine and on the set. Plus Corellia was indirectly mentioned in the OT by Han, so that world (in some form) is canon.

 

Could the black X-wing be Luke's?

 

I'm starting to lean toward the black X-wing being Luke's... maybe that's why we haven't seen a picture with it's droid socket exposed. The cat would really be out of the bag if R2 was sitting there.

It's about set extentions that will probably be applied to the leaked location.

Secret? After 30 odd years of hostilities I would be a bit disappointed if the Alliance was still running and hiding.
