I've been screwing around in the discussion forums for three weeks now and just discovered this!! Very cool. Anyway, just joined the JC and I dig it. I live in Milwaukee with mah wife, mah dawg, and mah 7-week old baby boy!

If any of you guys have attended the Westown Ultrascreen premieres for the last two films, I was the guy preparing sushi and hot sake in line, and we'll have a full spread next year, to be sure. Hey, it's a friggin' tailgating town. Anybody posting links to other local fan sites?

Hello everyone. As is obvious, I'm a newbie. =P~
Also, I live in Racine, so I'm quite close to Milw.
I'm looking forward to talking to anyone who would like to help me get into the swing of things around here. [face_batting]
New message boards always intimidate me a bit. *shrugs* [face_blush]
    Thanks in advance. [face_peace]

Nobody here is too intimidating, I promise :) So what are you into besides SW?

We have a book club that meets monthly and, as you can ask anyone who goes, the discussion has not been boring or totally about Star Wars. I don't think we got around to it much at the last meeting. The Milwaukee gang meets regularly I guess. I live in Sheboygan so I wouldn't be sure. A number of them are going to Wizard World next month if that is your thing.

The discussion at book club is always interesting, and humorous. I can't believe the subjects we get going on. Never a dull moment.

And yes, Wizard World is coming up. It sounds like there are a few people going and we will hopefully meet there.

So what are you into besides SW?

I also love LOTR, Anne Rice Books, reading in general, watching movies (all kinds), my bunny, hanging out, going to festivals, camping, lots and lots of stuff too numerous to go into now.

But mostly LOTR and Anne Rice books.

You'll find plenty of LOTR fans around here as well. Seems to go hand-in-hand with SW. I also enjoy reading (sci-fi, history, some other fiction), art, computer technology, and hanging out and talking with others. If you enjoy reading you may want to check out the book club thread.

    Hello,

I am new to the boards. But my fanatisism for the films is over 2
decades old. I am a life long Milwaukeean, and newlywed. I married
a flatlander in March. She is not quite as rabid about SW as I am, but
we are working on that. With the DVD release the re-education has
begun. She also will be accompanying me in April to C3. I got this
locked after enduring 2 massive Buffy Conventions two years in a row.
This year is the year....,and Costumed!!! I enjoy other things as well.
The wife, and I attend The Milwaukee Shakespeare Company 4 times
a year. And I am a huge trivia buff.... with Cinema as my main forte'.
I have been know to play the occasional old school RPG. I am a huge
football fan, and I am currently a C0-commisoner in a fantasy football
league. Well that's all I got off the top of my head.

    Hi Snuggiwan,
That is a cool name. I am from Sheboygan and have been trying to educate my husband and children for years. They only want to go to C3 to get out of school. I need to re-educate them in the ways of the Jedi.

    Well hey there Snuggiwan76!

A Star Wars fan, a Buffy fan, a football fan, a trivia buff, AND a ff comish? If it wasn't for that last factoid, I would think that I'd be looking in a mirror at the male version of myself.

Good to have you here. I hope you enjoy your stay.

One quick question: favorite Buffy ep? This may decide whether or not I keep chatting with you.... ;)

Snuggiwan, do you have any plans next Saturday night? We do bar trivia at Chumley's in New Berlin if you're interested.

    PS: Say "The Body."

Hey Snuggiwan! Welcome aboard. I have a degree in English/Literature and thoroughly enjoy Shakespeare's work, I'm a huge Buffy fan, and I run a fantasy football league made up of many of the other Milwookies. If Catie thinks she was looking in the mirror, I would have to agree and say that this is a wee bit unsettling.

PS: Say "Once More With Feeling".

    Well,

The Bar Trivia does sound intriguing, but as it is my Mom's b-day (well
sorta it's actually the 14th) we are taking her to the Fireside for "South Pacific" a Rodgers and Hammerstein classic. I am also filled with movie
musicals trivia... I kinda grew up with them. Now you might think with that lead in I am going to concure with "Once More With Feeling" ( great episode no doubt but not my favorite). But I am gonna give y'all
    the old "Razzle Dazzle"......

    Top 5 Buffy Episodes
    5) Storyteller
    4)Life Serial
    3)Hush
    2)Superstar
    1)The Zeppo..... Xander Rules!!!!!

"Superstar" at number 2? You are an enigma, my friend (and apparently, you're either Danny Strong's brother or old college roommate). I'll give you "Life, Serial", if for no other reasons than the Death Star Van and Buffy's foray into the fast-paced world of retail (a world in which I am firmly tethered).

    Hey Snuggiwan!

I see that you are going to C3 and in costume! I am too! Who are you going as? I am going to be going as Padme. Did you make the costume yourself?

I am also a huge Buffy fan. I even dressed up as Buffy for our Halloween party last year and at Filmcon in February.

Hello Snuggiwan :) I see you found our other board as well. I'm DaleJrGroupie there for now; once we get our regular board up again I'll be back to plain old JediRacer. I can't comment on your Buffy choices since I admit to never seeing even one episode. Welcome aboard!
