New model... ;)

It's those servers. I tried the links with GETRIGHT and they don't work. It might be a locale thing too. Just not working for certian people depending on their location. Alot of these free servers will limit bandwidth by time of day, # of MB's transferred.. location too.

That worked. Yea.. really is nice. I was expecting the assault gunboat tho. I don't remember seeing this craft. It escapes my memory. But you're gonna do that other one next eh? Where are you finding references?

I clicked on the ZFX link in your signature and that worked too.

 

Zoo this ship was only in two games as far as i know .. and in nothing else, Tie Fighter CD collection and Xwing Alliance... however the missile boat looks completly different in both games.. (same basic pod wing structure.. however different central areas)

Im shocked! you modelled something fantastic using crappy references. great modeling. Someone asked this question I think earlier but im asking it again. What modeling methods do you use?!?? because im modeling a very detailed and highly accurate model and I need to know what u did!

 

Looking at the shapes, I think he just used editable geometries, there are not dozens of ways to model this, not like organic modelling.

That's what is great with non canon stuffs: because there isn't really any good references, you can do what you want to. that's what I did with the Ewing, I kept the global shapes, but every details are home made.

jones is right.. i just basically used a combination of box modelling booleans and stenciling ..

its not a very organic shape so the need for splines and the lot is not so much required..
