Or better idea... Give three authors a certain set of characters and a general plot.. Give them each three books to tell their story... Golden's would have been close to her SotJ series. Denning could have done a Barabel Trilogy Allston could have done the X Wing Jedi... Rather than cramming 9 books in to a few years in one plot... each with their own style of story telling... I honestly hope that if they go for large 10 years plus gaps in between the sequel trilogy. I would love another War series like NJO... It should be amazing... Think of it like NJO with different authors going toward one goal with different characters then end in leading into the next film...
That is what I really enjoyed about NJO when all the different authors still focused on one overarching arc and were still able to write their favorites. I miss reading different kinds of authors. Now we have the same 3 writing all of the books with very little diversity in writings. Even now that there is no big series all we get to hear about is Denning, Allston, and Golden. Though I am looking forward to what those 3 write, it just seems to have fallen into a problem that very few other characters get exposure to expand stories, and I feel it is due to the lack of different authors.
With the ST, this time period will be a gold mine in which all of the authors are going to dive in there. Stover, Luceno, and others in the other period
I really hope so. At the same time I have really enjoyed what has gone on post ROTJ,heck I even enjoyed LOTF and FOTJ, and I do not want to see anything be erased.
So a few more people can jump on the bandwagon, though I will still be on said bandwagon I'd be disgruntled...
It's a Han Solo Rebel Series book? link. Or was this book announced already? I know the Leia one was.
The Han Solo book got announced a few months back. Where was it said this book was set in a underused error?
Only in the Twitter/Facebook era could a company make big announcements that contain no information other than that we should await further huge announcements. Seriously, anything. Doesn't have to be a book title. Give me Kenobi's release date. Something real. Something I can use!
Tosche Station had a post this morning with some updates. Not a lot, but it seems that Kenobi 's first draft is finished.
Please let this not be it... http://theforce.net/latestnews/story/When_Shakespeare_Meets_Star_Wars_149849.asp Star Wars is supposed to be brain candy. Yes Star Wars is a Classic and Yes Shakespeare is a classic. If you want to adopt a plot like Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet, that is cool. However I don't want to read Star Wars in Iambic Pentameter. Reasons why I loved my Shakespeare class... Interesting plots.... Reasons why I hated my Shakespeare class... The old English and rythem of writing...
