New posters needed

Well, the title pretty much says everything really. If you are a lurker who has been hanging around these boards for a while now, but have not really had any reason or inclination to post, then maybe now is the time to start. Or if your new here and unsure how to get started, then this is the perfect opportunity to just jump straight in.

We are looking for just about anyone, be they male, felmale, old, young, Welsh, English, Scottish, or Irish. Don't be afraid to just pop along, introduce yourself and start chatting about anything that interests you, be it Star Wars or gardening.

Good to see you doing this Welshguy. You could also copy and paste your message into a new thread over on the main board for maximum effect.

 

Hopefully there will be people reading this who have seen my message on the main British board. So if you just want to post here and tell us a little about yourself, we can get the ball rolling, get to know each other and start some new and exciting threads.

 

One thing I do is try to keep an eye on the welcome new users forum to see if anyone is from the UK

 

Yes, not the most intresting of jobs, it can be helpfull for hunting down new members.



Another idea might be to put a link to this board in your sig, as I have for London.

 

Some good suggestions there guys, thanks. I'll ambush anyone with the names Jones, Davies or Morgan that happens to cross my path. Be they Welsh or otherwise.

I don't know why, but I suddenly have this image of myself as one of those scary old men with a bag of sweets that my mother always warned me about
Bundling new posters into my car and taking them back to my board! Oo-er.

 

*peeks in* Well, I'm not Welsh, English, Scottish or Irish, but I've been to England a couple of times, and there's some sheep outside our house, so I can almost count as Welsh, right? Oh, and one of my favourite horses when I was 13 was a Welsh Pony...

Anyway, just thought I should drop by and say hi. So, umm, hi!

And I usually try to direct people from the Welcome Forum to their FanForces, so if I see any Welsh people there I will most certainly direct them here!

Something along the lines of a flower necklance made of daffodils or maye a nice, big welcoming leek?

If your lucky, I may even stretch to a rendition of "What's new pussycat".

How about a traditional Welsh folk song? Something that has been sung in the valleys for hundreds of years?

A bit of "Sauspan fach".

Sauspan fach is actually a story about a boy called "Jonny bach" who beats his baby sister around the head with a saupsan, causing her to cry.

Er.... Maybe not that one then.

How about a bit of Katatonia? I'm a big X-Files fan, so how about we combine the two? "Mulder and Scully" it is then.

"Things are getting strange, i'm starting to worry."
"This could be a case for Mulder and Scully".
