Padu, KY New Question

Lord Vader sent me a text last nite and asked me why "Ben and Yoda couldn't help Luke out when he chose to face Vader"? I simply said that they were both pu$$!es and when about my business. This seems like a good question for the boards and I thought I would share it with you. I don't suppose there is a right or wrong answer so feel free to come up with anything.

 

Well it was a Tuesday and thats Jedi Master Sabbac night of course.

 

My non-answer was that it would affect their credit. But as far as answers, there is another....

 

They took a page out of mace's book, and decided to be worthless lay-abouts. pv

 

Obi-wan new he couldn't get the job done (cause he's no Mace) and decided to just not look foolish again. As for Yoda who knows how a muppet thinks. Seriously, they couldn't help him cause Kenobi is dead and yoda can barely get around. He's 900 years old folks. Plus Luke had to choose his own path wherever that led. And they knew they couldn't \ shouldn't interfere.

 

Well, in the Annotated screenplays, it was said in the early drafts of Return of the Jedi that Obi-Wan actually was revived and was there helping Luke and dueling Palpatine while the Luke/Vader duel was going on. Lucas decided to drop it because he wanted Luke to win this battle by himself, without any real outside help.
