SWRPF Archive New Republic: Storm of the Outer-Rim.

Set a year after the end of the Dark Nest Trilogy.

A ailing Republic that has former to replace the Galactic Alliance removed all markings of the Yuuzhan invasion as the galaxy returns to normal. The Jedi Order of Luke Skywalker though was weakened in the war with the Yuuzhan Vong and many students are on the verge of turning to the dark side after the lose of many close to them. Luke's Order is once again split in half, with Kyp Durron leading the more aggressive side as Luke thinks there is no need to be aggressive in a time of peace, after a long and dreadful war. One student of Kyp's wants to avenge his old master's death, and goes to Zenoma Sekot and wipes out the entire Yuuzhan Vong colony there that threatened the galaxy years before, leaving only the Shamed Ones alive. Luke feels the disturbance in the force and rushes to the planet to confront the student, but he is nowhere to be found.

A year later the student reappears supposedly in the Corporate Sector as planets on the verge of civil war are terrorized by a rogue mercenary leader, killing slaves and workers brutally. The former Jedi arrives at the mercenary camp on Bonadan, and wipes every one out. Luke is disturbed by the news of the massacre and the Jedi disappears once again. The slaves and workers win their freedom after a civil war with the Corporate Sector leaders. Luke investigates many planets accompanied by Mara viewing the destruction, some of which he knew had to be cause by his former student.

Meanwhile Corran Horn, who is currently leading the Jedi on Coruscant receives reports from the outer-rim that a Jedi Knight has been leading mercenaries against the new Republic. Corran sends a team of Jedi Knights to investigate, but they don't return as news of the armies invading the outer-rim reach the Senate, the Chief of State blames the Jedi. In a time of stress, Corran sends another team to investigate with a pilot as an escort, Jaina, Lowbacca, Zekk, and Jagged Fel who end up near the world of Ryloth, where they meet with a spy of the Ryloth government, to find out what the armies are doing... specifically the rogue Jedi's. Corran then proceeds to send another group of Jedi to monitor key spaceroutes for any strange activity...

Notes- Their are more then two Jedi teams investigating the advancing army. If you want to be in the advancing army, it is composed of smugglers, old soldiers, and newly trained recruits. The leadership is very secretive. The Repubic secretly sends commando teams to inflitrate the army to see it's strengthes, weaknesses and motives. Two Sith are secretly controlling the conflict, as they hide in the shadows, Darth Greyvin, and his apprentice. Others also might exist...

1. To join this RPG a person must have been registered since June. If you feel you can play correctly, send me a sample post of what you would write in the game ALL the time. If you prove yourself, I will let you join. Players can shape the plot but, I will propell it in some direction.

2. Respect the GM and any Sub-GMs I appoint.

4. No trolling, flamming.

5. PM character sheets to me.

6. Use TAG, IC.

7. Try to spell correctly. Use spellcheck if needed.

I would if I understood what the Dark Nest thing is.

 

The Dark Nest Trilogy is the new series of post-NJO books. So far the only one out is The Joiner King. Since 66% of the story of the trilogy has yet to be revealed, I doubt it's going to factor much into the story of this game.

 

It's just giving a general timeframe, by saying it's set a year after the Dark Nest trilogy. So does anybody want to join?

 

But, Technicaly, you dont' know whent he DN trilogy ends...so...how can it be used as a time frame

Biography: He is a self trained Jedi. From the age of 12 he trained with many diffrent people learning many diffrent styles of fighting. Then he came across a fallen Jedi and recieved knowledge of lightsaber combat. Soon after Alex started to learn Force techniques. His strengh in the Force is amazing, for someone of his age. Seeing as how he is only 15 though many people refuse his help, but he could care less. He enjoys a good fight, and is always willing to learn more about combat.
