New Repulic Ranks

    This has probably been brought up before, but I'm wondering what the order of rank would be within the New Republic. Based on the fact that Corran Horn is a Commander in VotF, and a Colonel in Ruin (and mentions that the rank carries an extra pip), here's how I'm thinking iut goes.

    From top down:

    General
    Colonel
    Commander
    Major
    Captain
    Lieutenant
    Flight Officer

    Any thoughts?

    As far as I aware, it's slightly different for each branch of the service: Army, Navy and Starfighter Command.

    For Starfighter Commander, I beleive the ranks go:

    Cadet
    Flight-Officer
    Flight-Lieutenant
    Captain
    Commander
    Major
    Colonel
    General

    I think that Starfighter Command uses a shorter list of ranks because they have little need for high-level officers; in most cases, Starfighter Command seems to comes under the direct command of the Navy, while remaining a seperate service. I say this because Starfighter Command officers seem to go to Navy command, such as Wedge, and Starfighter missions are usually overseen by officers such as Admiral Ackbar.
