We used to have Buffy at 11 pm for a while :( That really, really sucked! Dawson's Creek didn't get the ax yet? [face_shocked]

How would you call NA if it becomes the 7th state of Oz? That'll sure confuse things up.

I see in the latest junk-mail that you can buy Sam Neill's BBC Space documentary on DVD from the Warehouse ($39.99). :)

Not if you watch The Simpsons :D And more specifically, the Emmy-award winning episode entitled Trash of the Titans.

"Who can take your trash out?
    Stomp it down for you.
Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy too?
The Garbage Maaaaaan...oh, the garbage man can.

    oo I love that episode.

Talking about Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory - I got the DVD out from video ezy recently -
there's a commentary with the five wonka kids - all grown up now of course. Hiliarious stuff. It's also interesting to see what they all did - the kid who played Charlie went on to become a veternarian.

Yep, and the guy who played his grandfather was "the Man" in "Chico and the Man" - for those old foggies who remember that show. :)

I always wondered why they never made a Willy Wonka 2 based on the Glass Elevator book. :(

They have to remake the first one now to be able to do that with the same Charlie - maybe Robin Williams as Willy Wonka. :)

I think the visual effects would have been impossible. Even now it's hard to imagine how that movie would look. I don't think it would translate well to film.

I don't think they stayed true to the spirit of the original book in WW&TCF.

The character of Willy Wonka took on this sinister side in the movie, which he didn't have in the book.

In the book he was crazy in a magical way, in the movie he was crazy in an evil way. Honestly, he used to pysch me out as a kid :D

e: another interesting fact from the DVD - did you know the movie was paid for by a confectionary manufacturer?? figures :)

Don't know about best episode ever...there were quite a lot of better ones in earlier seasons, IMO. Plus it was written by Ian Maxtone-Graham and I don't like him ;)

Who can clean me up before the big policeman's ball?
    The Garbage Maaaaaaaaaaan
    Yes the Garbage Man Can

TV3 are repeating Star Trek: Deep Space Nine on Saturdays at 3:00pm starting today (6 April), although I don't think it's from the very beginning. That means all five Star Trek shows are being played at the moment. :)

Also, Squirt is back on on Saturday mornings and seems to have a new series of The Zeta Project cartoon (a spin-off from the Batman cartoon). :)

After weeks of rumors Roswell has finally been officially cancelled. Can't say I'm surprised.

Even less of a surprise is the closure of the Imax cinema here in Auckland. Can't say I'm bothered about it either ... except the loss of the Star Wars arcade game there. :(

Nah, the Timeout is still there, it's just the Imax cinema screen which is no longer operating.

So how far can you get on Star Wars, arcade, buzz?

Lisa can tell you about my pathetic efforts :D

Are you sure, I thought it was the whole cinema side (all the theatres) - not sure about the TimeOut, etc. though. At least that's what the TVNZ News made it sound and look like. They showed the ticket counter room as completely empty, not even any staff.

I haven't actually played the Star Wars arcade game, but I'd probably be worse than EVERYBODY else. The only games I'm any good at are the puzzle games - although I can nearly finish Bubble Bobble (home computer version). :)

Yep, you are right. According to today's NZ Herald it is only the big Imax screen that's closed down - everyhting else is still going. :)
