FF:NZ New shows!!!

Earth final conflict rocks

 

I've only ever seen the first few minutes of some episodes - it looks OK, but according to messages in the Usenet Newsgroups the last few US seasons have been going downhill fast.

 

Not new shows, but ...

• Prime TV is moving Enterprise to Friday nigths after next weekend's episode - I'm not sure if that also means the other Star Trek shows. Looks like I'll be able to watch Knight Rider again.


• Dark Angel has just been cancelled in the US - no more episodes are going to be made. For other cancelled shows check out the TV Guide Cancellations webpage.

 

Am I the only one who caught the SW references in the saturday Simpsons episode?

Also when Burns was getting on the stage, the Imperial March was playing.

 

Although it doesn't directly pertain to New Zealand at the moment, The X-Files was discussed earlier. The final episode ever of The X-Files just screened in the US. The Truth has been revealed...kinda...

 

Another one for us oldies ... a Knight Rider computer/console game.

No Mac version though.

Knight Rider is consistently in tv 4s top ten rating shows, so Prime might be moving Enterprise as not to have to compete with it.

 

Probably, although Prime's coverage (and TV4 for that matter) is so small that the almighty ratings don't have much to count to begin with.

 

I was watching MacGyver and Kinight Rider with my bro the other day, and it turns out I have seen those two shows before. He said we have watched them many times, but I just don't remember. I recognized the MacGyver song!

*hears soldiers approaching. quickly rolls underneath jeep. pulls out contents of lunch box, mixes, and creates sleeping potion. pulls out handkerchief, soaks with potion. waits until the last soldier has gone past, rolls out, sneaks up behind soldier and places handkerchief over soldier's mouth. drags unconcious soldier away behind corner. comes out from behind corner wearing soldier's uniform. sneaks into control room. pulls out pocket knife. makes a few adjustments to controls. reactor explodes. escapes by building light aircraft using lunch box, digital watch, and a hair dryer*

It took me three years to create that midi with a paperclip, a rubber band and a battery when I was locked in a closet.

Ahh, Murdock. My arch-nemesis.

To be honest, I'm not sure. After the show wrapped we all went out and got uproariously drunk. I can make a mean cocktail out of pocket lint and the condensation that gathers underneath barstools.

Not a new TV show, but the "new look" TV Guide is pretty hopeless.

They've changed the binding from a nice and simple fold/staple to a proper paperback glued spine - which means the stupid thing won't lay flat and stay open at the right page.

Why do companies have to muck about with something that was working perfectly well??

Universal Pictures Video Australia announced that it is postponing the planned
June release of a Battlestar Galactica DVD box set until mid-2003.

Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Oh well, at least I can save up some money to actually buy it then.

This Sunday appears to be the season finale of Enterprise - although it's only the 16th episode, so the question is; where are the rest??

(Another good question would be why were the last two episodes played in the wrong order??)

 

In a massive stroke of sheer stupidity, Prime TV have re-arranged their Star Trek shows and replaced them with a pile of garbage, starting next weekend.

Sundays, 10:30pm

Star Trek: The Next Generation
Fridays, 10:25pm
(no longer double-episodes)

Enterprise
Supposedly finished for the season.


Oh well, no more Star Trek watching for me. At least I can now go back to watching Knight Rider.
