    THE CITADEL OF NEW MORABAND

The Citadel is a well-maintained and heavily protected tower complex which serves as the home and headquarters of the Sith Triumvirate and its disciples. The tower consists of five levels, each of which is well-lit and constructed of clean durasteel, and features modern defense and security systems as well as numerous amenities and creature comforts. Four of the five look out via transparisteel windows into a central courtyard situated on the ground level. A large contingent of stormtroopers is divided between the main gate, courtyard, hangar, and numerous patrol routes, while a complement of starfighters, gunships, and shuttles occupy the hangar. Imperial officers and technicians operate systems from the command deck, and paid servants clean and maintain the facility as well as preparing meals.

Zakuul, now known as New Moraband, has existed with little to no central government since the fall of the Eternal Empire, and has instead been ruled piecemeal by various warlords for thousands of years. Situated centermost of the largest city on the planet, The Citadel is an old but heavily renovated complex which has long been used to exert control over the de facto capital and has, by extension, served as the seat of the planet's most powerful warlords. Zakuul City, rechristened Sanctorium (The Emperor argued fervently to name the city Insipiddus but was outvoted) is a sprawling metropolis, rundown and modestly populated in terms of density but still home to several million denizens of various species.

Though a relatively poor world all around due to its largely isolated state, recent occupation by the Empire of the Hand has brought industrial development to the long-neglected capital. An economy which previously centered on little beyond rooftop hydroponic farming and modest commerce has branched out into refining and exporting of natural resources to other Imperial worlds. Slowly but surely, Sanctorium is growing and recovering.

At the furthest reaches of the multi-tiered capital, the city becomes more sparsely inhabited and eventually crumbles into an abyssal swamp which stretches for hundreds of miles in every direction devoid of civilization. Further still, numerous smaller urban areas exist under the control of less powerful despots - portions of the formerly planet-spanning city which have been maintained over the millennia by the populations which have clustered there, while the spaces between have crumbled to become part of the endless swampy wilderness.

Having been under the thumb of Grand Admiral Thrawn for some time, and relying heavily upon stormtroopers provided to assist in maintaining control of the city, the most recent warlord to call The Citadel home and to claim Lordship over Zakuul City offered little resistance during his removal from power by Imperial forces to make way for the Sith.

    Ground Level

    1. Main Gate

Triple reinforced steel doors which serve as the sole foot entrance to The Citadel.

    2. Foyer

The main lobby/receiving area for the main gate. Features one large exit to the courtyard amid the far wall from the gate, and symmetrical sitting areas beside. The three walls which border the courtyard are transparisteel and offer a view into the courtyard.

    3. Courtyard

A grassy multi-terraced lawn centered by a large fountain in an open middle area, with winding paths extending outward and down into wooded groves along the peripheries. A level path runs from the fountain to the foyer entrance and looks out into the groves below.

    4. Southwest Lift
    5. Northwest Lift
    6. Northeast Lift
    7. Southeast Lift

The four lifts which serve as the main means of movement among the different levels of the citadel. Beside each lift is a corresponding flight of stairs.

    8. Hangar

A hangar at the west edge of the complex which can house vessels ranging from personal fighters on up to large shuttles and freighters, and medium-sized gunships. Features three walls - furthest from the courtyard is a wide opening which serves as the ship entryway and is protected by a powerful deflector shield controlled from the command station.

    9. Arena

A sizable amphitheater designed to house duels and other violent contests. From the entryway, the room splits off into an upper seating area, and an enclosed underside which houses multiple dressing rooms and two entry tunnels to the pit itself at the northwest and southeast corners. Features dark blue marble floors and durasteel walls throughout, and reserved seating at the north end for the Triumvirate and High Lords. In the pit, the marble floor is lined with numerous vents from which bursts of flame may be triggered, and trap doors from which beasts may be elevated.

    10. Bestiary

A large flora-filled room featuring enclosures, aquariums, and habitats for myriad creatures and dark side abominations. Tended by a beastmaster and overseen by High Lord Arach.

    11. Library

A large depository of literature. Paper tomes, historical archives, and holofilms fill out a portion of the library, but a large space dedicated to Sith apocrypha stands unfilled. Locked transparisteel cases are empty where holocrons should be housed, secluded corners where would dwell unholy grimoires of ancient Sith alchemy instead gather dust, and displays where priceless relics should rest are instead left bare. Made with the same antiseptic architecture in mind as the rest of the temple - clean metal and bright artificial lighting - but decorated to the Lorekeeper's liking with dusty, frayed, stale smelling rugs, tapestries, and aged wooden shelves. Light bulbs are allowed to burn out leaving the library relatively dim and gloomy. Doubles as the Lorekeeper's quarters, where he sleeps on a dank old mattress in a back corner.

    12. Infirmary

The clean and modern medical wing of the citadel featuring twenty beds with draw curtains, a sophisticated operating room, a dissection table, supply cabinet, and freezer.

    13. Spa

Features a hot tub, Bacta-infused shower, and steam room among other amenities for tired or ailing Sith.

    14. Swimming Pool

A 50x100 meter pool of varying depth. Features underwater paths from the bestiary through which horrific waterborne abominations may be released on unsuspecting swimmers.

    15. Gym

Features a wide range of cardio and resistance training equipment.

    16. Sparring Room

A plain room used for sparring - both with weapons and unarmed. A rack along the wall houses one dozen non-lethal training lightsabers as well as wooden swords, padded-tipped spears and cushioned polearms.

    17. Gravity Chamber

A sealed chamber in which gravity can be increased or decreased to the user's liking for training or sparring purposes.

    18. Thermal Chamber

A sophisticated room in which temperature extremes may be dialed in for training purposes.

    19. Outfitter

A commissary featuring a varied collection of garments, in sizes accommodating a large number of species, and a wide variety of amenities and personal essentials. Staffed by a clerk and a tailor.

    20. Armory

A stockroom which features a huge supply of armors, weapons, munitions, and various other related supplies and paraphernalia.

    21. Workshop

A sizable crafting area featuring more than a dozen workbenches where modifications may be made to weapons and armor at the owner's convenience.

    22. Ceremony Hall

A large banquet hall featuring a long dining table, and an elevated stage. A grand crystal chandelier hangs above the table and is outfitted with a red crystalline in its center which, when illuminated, bathes the room in a deep blood red. Purple silk banners hang about the wall behind the stage, embroidered with ornate designs - the largest hangs in the center and features the insignia of the Empire of the Hand.

    23. Cafeteria

A crisp and utilitarian mess hall utilized for regular meals. Used for the same by the servants between Sith meal times.

    24. Kitchen
    25. Pantry
    26. Servant quarters

Areas inhabited solely by servants under normal circumstances.

    Basement

    1. Cell Control Room

A small room filled with control consoles for each cell block. Able to override guard station controls.

    2. Guard Station A
    3. Guard Station B

Matching guard stations which feature an armed guard at all times. Each is preceded by two transparisteel gates and one deflector shield in between.

    4. Cell Block A
    5. Cell Block B

Prisoner holding cells, each of which features a physical gate and deflector shield.

    6. Interrogation Room

Features multiple adjustable restraining tables which allow an inquisitor to inject various compounds, elevate, invert, or forcefully spin the occupant at the push of a button.

    7. Execution Chamber

Features a small viewing room, a control room, and a strapped chair in a sealed chamber. Various means of execution available including electrocution, poison gas, atmospheric vacuum, and disintegration.

    8. Crematorium

Contains an incineration chamber and compactor.

    9. Stairwell

An ancient stone stairway where bright, antiseptic modernity suddenly lapses as steps descend into pitch darkness. Serves as the entrance to Darth Cruor's lair deep beneath the Citadel.

    Level 2

    1. Common Room

A sizable hall featuring various game tables, plush seating, a wide-screen holoviewer, and a self-serve bar.

    2. Apprentice Quarters

Modest accommodations for Acolytes and Neophytes. Each room features by default a bed, closet, refresher, and built in bookcase and desk.

    3. Underlord Quarters

More luxurious accommodations designed for Underlords. Features the same basics as apprentice rooms plus a kitchenette and workbench.

    Level 3

    1. Insipid's Apartment

The Emperor's private residence. Flame torches are mounted to walls of stone. To the left of the main entrance stands a long walk-in wardrobe, and to the right a luxurious refresher. The northern third is comprised of a large bedchamber. The stone walls of the apartment are lined throughout with bookcases and high shelves upon which rest priceless vases, sculptures, and holocrons - the Emperor's personal collection of Sith relics.

    2. Haretisch's Apartment

The personal quarters of the Night Herald. Rustic and simple, with walls and floors of dark hardwood. At the main entrance is a study, with bookshelves lining one wall and a workbench on another. At the north wall facing away is a simple but elegant hardwood desk. Off from the study is a clean kitchen and dining nook, and in the far corner a modest bedroom and refresher.

    3. Bellorum's Apartment

The Dawn Herald's chambers, featuring stone walls vividly decorated with tapestries and paintings in various bright and dark shades of purple. Off of the main entrance is a bookcase-lined foyer/sitting room which leads into a large bedroom with a draped four post bed. Off of the bedroom is a tiara room housing the Dawn Herald's considerable jewelry collection, and a large refresher with a walk-in shower and whirlpool bathtub.

    4. Syren's Chambers
    5. Hesper's Chambers
    6. Arach's Chambers

The personal residences of the High Lords. Each is large and contains a foyer, study, bedroom, kitchen, and a refresher. Hesper's study has instead been furnished as an art studio and gallery, while Syren's quarters contain an apothecary for mixing and storing of poisons as well as alcoholic beverages - none of which are labeled because she likes to live dangerously. Similarly, Arach's study has been converted to a miniature bestiary.

    7. Ravenous' Chambers
    8. Kwea Acantha's Chambers
    9. Kronos' Chambers
    10. Draconis' Chambers
    11. Serapis' Chambers

The accommodations afforded to full-fledged Lords are comfortable indeed. Each room is sizable and contains a study, bedroom, kitchen, and refresher.

    2. Council Chambers

A small chamber in which the triumvirate meets with the Dark Tribunal, whether in-person or via hologram. The Emperor's seat sits north most, while the Night and Dawn Heralds sit at his left and right, respectively.

    3. Lords' Lounge

Smaller than the Common Room on Level 2, and featuring similar luxuries, but far more comfortable. Includes a karaoke stage and a staffed bar.
