IF they finally do a new Superman- they most DEFINITELY have to have the signature music by John Williams- not new rubbish. I'd know that Superman music anywhere and it still sends shivers down my back (eg when Superman first flies in his suit). IT would be like changing the Star Wars anthem!!!!

    There's no "if" about it:

Don't know who's doing the music, but you're right - it needs to be John Williams again.

From the reports i've read, they will be using the John Williams score, but "updating" it slightly.

    Whatever that means?

Surely they'll just employ Williams to do a few new bits and keep the old score?

The new Superman bloke looks like he's in the Chris Reeves mould which is good.

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0746125/

And some other good actors- like Spacey as Lex- I just hope they dont ignore the original films and rewrite the Superman story!

Well- I personally dont want to see a young Superman as they have him in the cast- plus Brando is in it- yes, I repeat, Brando is in it- they are using old footage of him!

I really have hopes for the new Superman...with the way the new Batman is looking, if they keep it to that same vein, it could be a warm welcome back to the two franchises!

    SuperMan will be good.

for super-man the director of X-MEN, X-2, and the unuslual suspects is doing "superman returns" ( Brian Singer)

Just for the fact hes doing it itll be good, but I wish he did X-men 3 more so

[face_laugh] , so true richie, I thought they would update it. If i were a criminal, i would be defeated trough respiratory problems caused by excessive laughter, let alone super powers.

And also remember that within the timelines of the films, 1 & 2 happended, then it's this one. They are disregarding 3 & 4 for the purposes of continuity in the franchise.
