Don't forget to rush out Tuesday and pick up the next New Jedi Order book Refugee!
I can't wait! Although, considering my local Wally-world's track record, I won't get Refugee until June.
I'm very intrigued about the Tahiri plot line, because it's got me puzzled and I wonder what will happen to her to make her look so UGLY on the cover of The Final Prophesy.
Yeah, that cover is horrible Hehe, see what I think about it on the Lit boards You don't have a Barnes and Noble or Borders in your area? If you have to wait that long, why not do an Amazon.com??
Well, I live in DeLand so it takes about 25 minutes for me to get to DB. Whenever I get down there, though, I have maniac book-buying sessions at B&N.
How good is Amazon? I've ordered some books through other sites, but I don't want to pay TOO much shipping&handling.
Shipping through amazon would be $3.99, plust hte $6.99 for the book, but that's pre-order price so you can probably knock about a dollar off that when it's released. I'd pay it, but just because I couldn't wait an extra month
Heh. I'm more of a cheapo. The only books I ever bought alone (and they weren't too expensive) were out-of-print copies of some of Kathy Tyers books. *sigh*
Doesn't Refugee come out today?
Just got back from B&N I still have about 500 pages of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' before I start Refugee though
Well, this book anwsers a lot of questions. I liked it!
I'm still only like 60 pages in.
It's really sad- for some strange reason, I have not been as driven to read these last few NJO books. I don't know if it's just me or if it's the content, but I feel that my attention span has run thin.
Tatooine Ghost kept me all the way through, though. It must just be the books.
I felt the same way about a third of the way into Refugee, but then it picked up. Then again, I mostly read it at work so I didn't have too much to distract me
So how's it going Jayna??
Don't forget everyone, Shatterpoint comes out Tuesday! mmmmmm, hardcover
I'm so pathetic. I haven't touched it. In fact, I had forgotten that I even had it.
Must get into it!!! Must get into it!!!
You forgot! Oh no!!! mmmmm, the Dark Side I sense here...
Wow Shatterpoint looks really cool!
Hey all, don't forget to rush out and pick up your copy of Shatterpoint today!!
I swear, books are going to be the end of me! I went to go get Shatterpoint on my lunch break and what did I find? Tales of the New Republic, which I didn't even know existed, and Crimson Empire, which I've been looking for forever! I got back to work and read it in about 10 minutes, it was so fantastic. I think I'm going to read the Tales first becuse the first 4 stories were a joint story by Timothy Zahn and Micheal Stackpole!
And wouldn't you know it, three hours after I went this morning I got a call saying my copy of A New Hope Infinities was in sheesh
How's Shatterpoint going?
Collecting dust on my shelf. I'm working on another short story by Zahn and then I'll get to it. I have so many books to read right now I think I'm going to go insane. Oh wait, nevermind
Well, I'm throught the first 50 pages of Shatterpoint and I don't quite know where I stand yet. It's gotten off to a rather slow start, but then again the slowness has been all about Mace's past and the planet he grew up on and such. I don't have any problem though visualizing Mace when I'm reading though. Stover has done a great job capturing the characters. I'll let you know more as I go along.
Mace: 'I can see the future'
Guard: 'What do you see?'
Man, I really miss Bantam I've noticed a trend with the recent DelRey books, the first 100 or so pages are very dull and drawn out and you really almost have to force yourself to read through it, but after that the book gets really great. I'm experiencing that with Shatterpoint now. I think I've gotten over the hump, somewhere around page 90. Now Mace is just kicking butt and taking names.
How's Refugee going?
lol, wow Go read about X-Wings. It'll make ya feel better
Right now I'm too busy reading about impulse-momentum relationships. Oh joy.
