Everyone look at this,I have hooked up with a few people across the boards and they are helping us design a new theme.As soon as Mike emails me the image of our logo,That will be up there as well.Cool Start, eh?

Hey all,

I'm one of the guys working with echo-3 to make up a new banner for y'all. Is there a general color scheme you're looking for? Any suggestions, other than what echo-3 gave me?

What do you mean by color schemes? I think it looks pretty good now, it might be a little crowded though so if you could thin it out or spread it out that might be cool. Just my thoughts take them or leave them its cool with me.

 

Like the scheam right now is Black text against a light blue background.

 

By color scheme, I mean that you can change the colors of just about everything on the web page. Echo-3 told me that he was thinking something in greens, which is very doable with Endor and Naboo. You want the colors of your boards to complement the colors in your banner. For aesthetical reasons, mostly.

For an example, take a look at Albuquerque's boards:

I didn't do the work on this one, our webmaster did. But you can see what I mean about having the colors match and complement the banner. We've got the whole desert/Tatooine flavor going on there. I want to make sure what I'm doing will look good for you guys!

I think everything looks good.

 

I think that a light green and dark green would look nice for the board.

BTW, I love the "Wanted: Sale or Trade" thread that you guys have on your board. That is good idea. There are things that we all need and someone might have one for sale that we do not know about.

Here's a quick glimpse of one of the banners I'm working on for you guys. The Hoosier Alliance logo is in a different font and color than what echo-3 suggested, but I think it fits nicely.

I do plan on making another banner with the suggestions echo-3 made, but I'll finish this one up first...

And I think some dark and light greens will go good with the banner...

Well, again, I didn't exactly follow echo-3's suggestions. But that's because I didn't read the thread while I was working on the character insertions.

But here's one idea. I can try doing some of what echo-3 suggested. The only problem I have with doing any ARC troopers is that there's no RL shots of them, just the Clone Wars cartoon and the action figures...

Any suggestions is welcome!

I wasn't born here in NM, but transplanted at the tender age of 1. My dad was in the Air Force and got stationed at Holloman AFB. He retired there, in Alamogordo, and we've been here ever since. I moved to Albuquerque in 99, right after I graduated from college (I attended New Mexico Tech in Socorro). So, you can say, I'm kinda stuck here. But that's not so bad, I happen to actually like it here.

What made you move to Indiana?

 

My dad was also in the Air Force, at one point stationed at Kirtland. After he passed away in '97, we laid him to rest in Williams, IN where he was from. A couple years later we kind-of just migrated up here.

Oh, another thing I meant to ask. What's your guys' preferred screen resolution? 800x600? 1024x768? 1280x1024? Somewhere inbetween?

edit:
The reason I ask is here. For those of you with higher screen resolutions, you can see how I have room to spread out the banner further. For those running at 800x600, you won't see much of a difference.

This is where I need y'all's help very much. This is just a preliminary color scheme I started putting together.

I use 1024x768 .
Im thinking the most of use use this.
But I could be wrong.
