Neil Smith was on the FAN yesterday...I so want him to come back to the team.

Hi jada...aren't the Coyotes doing better than the beloved Rangers?

Go Coyotes!! Actually, I just like the jersey. It's sweet.

What the Rangers NEED is to unload the uselessness on that team. Which is half the team except for Barnaby & Simon, who play with heart EVERY game. Blackburn needs to stop making out with monkeys to get rid of his mono, Leetch needs to retire (sorry, I love him, but he's useless), get rid of Lindros (send him to that dispicable team on Long Island), get us Trent Hunter in exchange......I wouldn't mind T Hizzle on my team.

Oh yeah, and Jamie Langenbrunner. That would totally make my life. Jamie as a Blueshirt. *swoon*

true the rangers need to unload lindros, jagr, and the rest of their elderly folk, except for maybe leech and messier.....i guarantee blackburn and the young folk they got in the farm leagues would put forth a better effort then these pampered veterans....the kids might not win, but they would put on one heck of an effort

but this is unlikely to happen with sather at the helms.......they need to get the ol detroit wings coach Bowman out of retirement or find the nastiest coach in there farm system and promote him....b/c one thing i know about coaching is that attitude and structured practice is just as important as experience

if the rangers bring in a guy to run an A level practices and scream and yell at them like a madman i guarantee their act will straigten up, from what i hear the practice the rangers currently have is a circus of mal-effort and wussiness

Leetch needs to retire (sorry, I love him, but he's useless)

Leetch is still in the Top 10 of Defenseman in the League.

    He is Mr. Ranger.

He still gots about 3 good years left in the tank.

Now...I want him to retire as a Ranger...but if he can get a Cup elsewhere, and we can get a great package in return...then trade him.

    I have no idea . . . I'm a Rangers fan tried and true.

As for Leetch . . . "Mr. I Can't Handle My Liquor And I Fall Down And Break My Ankle In The Most Critical Time Of The Season" . . . where was I going with that thought? He has been a great defense man but everyone has to retire sometime.

Neil Smith is almost as bad a GM as Sather is now. I wouldn't hire him for free.

And as far as Leetch goes, how can you say he sucks? He plays with the worst defensemen in the league under the worst coaching staff in the league and he still has good years. Give the guy a break. If you're looking to train some young kids in the ways of the defensemen then he's definitely your man. I want him going out like Richter...once a Ranger, always a Ranger.

How is Neil Smith a worse GM than Sather?

He was ordered to win the Cup...he got the players to win the Cup.

I said almost ya big goof! He got the Cup. Sather did not.

Ya know...if there's nothing else satisfying about this season at ALL(and there's not) it's sweeping the Isles 6 games to none.

    Hi Gary!

    Loved Richter! [face_love]

But it was interesting how much better Bezzer did when he left the team.

Beezer had to retire a few years ago...remember, he was a couple of years older than Richter.

But he suffered some injuries too.

Johnny stayed in the Atlantic division(well the old Atlantic division anyway) for his entire career. He went from the Rangers to the Panthers(took them to the Finals in '96), to the Flyers, to the Isles and then to the Devils. He finished his career backing up Brodeur....a fate that seems worse than death. I still say his finest hour as a Ranger was beating the Devils in the 1992 division semifinals. Man I can still remember seeing Darren Turcotte scoring on that breakaway...

Just thought of a little trivia I learned years ago. Let's seen if any of you know this:

Foreigner's Song "Double Vision" was inspired by what Ranger's player and why?
