    Those with a subscription to hyperspace would have read this in today's set diary:

    "Though there are no plans for location shoots, visual effects plates will be photographed in New Zealand, Switzerland and Italy in March. "

    So any guesses about what they're going to photograph?

    My back yard? I wish.

    I see Bodie Taylor is back to play the younger clones as well. Still no official confirmation about Daniel Logan, though.

    Holy heck, the Jedi are heading for Mordor!

    Edit: My actual pick: Southland / West Coast for Kashyyyk.

    Maybe for the larger views of the planet, but not close up's like under the "buildings/platforms". Surely they'll do the same as LOTR with the Lorien trees and have fake roots/trunks and just place them on set. We don't have the large trees like the redwoods over in the states (like they used for ROTJ), and don't they need huge trees for the Wookies to live in?

    Is Kashyyyk in the third movie? What other planets? Perhaps Naboo - and some of the fiords down south, like in AOTC.

    edit = oh, and if you pick southland, then the jedi would be heading for around Imladris, not Mordor :p ;)

    Wow, this is awesome! :D Though I know they most probably won't come anywhere near Auckland. :(

    I'm not sure Kashyyyk would be filmed here, if at all. From what I've read *coughEUcough*, that planet has so many trees the whole thing is like a *huge* tangled mass. I always thought it would be kinda like a thick jungle, don't think there's anywhere in NZ like that.

    Just so long as the Skytower doesn't end up transposed onto the Coruscant landscape I'll be fine...

    There's been rumors from way back about a lava planet ... maybe they're going to get some pictures of the geysers in Rotorua.

    Alderaan could be a possibility as well. Speaking of which, isn't the capital, Aldera,
    situated in the middle of some water? Could be a decent CGI take over Lake Taupo.

    Rotorua smells funny. 8-}

    I want to see Alderaan and Dantooine. Both are pretty planets, at least in the illustrations. :)

    Auckland City stinks too ... except that's more the stench of carbon monoxide, rather than clean yellow sulpher :)

    I guess I feel that they wouldn't come over here to photograph something, unless it was something very unique they were looking for. That's why I'm thinking something like the geysers. The Fiords and the Southern Alps are a real possibility, as well.
