    It's crazy. I've beaten the hell out of every Zelda game but the original. I never could find Level 8.

    Eight is Death Mountain, right? I won't completely ruin finding it, but look in the top left area of the map.

    Actually guys if Valyn named himself Link in the original Zelda then he's playing The 2nd Quest :)p ;) so all your advice is useless :)

    Yeah, you only unlock the 2nd Quest in Zelda 1 if you name your character ZELDA or beat the game.

    I forget if the ZELDA naming trick worked for Zelda 2 or not, though I know there was some kind of 2nd Quest for the game, I forget if it was a true Second like in Z1.

    In the Zelda games, the Second Quest was a harder remix of the game: the locations of dungeons and items as well as dungeons layouts, were all switched around.

    It's ZELDA? hmmm oh well I guess I'm wrong. Z2 did had a second quest but it was more like The Wind Waker style of the second quest. After you've beaten the game you can start a new game with the same stats as you ended your previous game.

    It makes the entire game alot easier :p

    Death Mountain is in the same general area in both the 1st and 2nd quest.
