Waco, TX Newbie Here

Hi all. I found this website through another webpage advertising Star Wars group meetings. I'll try to keep up with all the get-togethers, but my schedule does get busy every once-in-awhile. Hope to make the next meeting on June 17th. Shouldn't be a problem since Buffy is no longer on. The meeting thread doesn't show an agreed upon site, but the bottom of this page shows Jason's Deli to be the meeting place. Is this correct?

I guess I'll give the obligatory faves list.

Fave SW movie: Empire
Fave SW character: Yoda
Fave SW moment: DV telling Luke he's his father.

That's all I can think of right now. Hope to meet some of you soon.

BTW, I'm 34 and work at FirstCity Financial Corp. here in Waco. Hope I'm not the oldest here. I always seem to be the oldest in all the groups I've signed up with lately.

Welcome Joe. You aren't the oldest in our group. We have one guy that is 40 and I'm almost 31, so you won't feel so old. Hope you can make the meeting.

Im almost 31 so you are not old by anymeans joefrog.I remember seeing starwars at the ivy twin cinema down by baylor in 1977.

 

I probably saw it there also, but I think I also saw it at the 25th Street Theater.

 

alas, i was but 3.5 years old when my parents took me to see it 3 times in the first week it came out and do not know where i saw it. i don't even remember seeing it, but i do remember having all the toys since the beginning!!!

 

See, I wish had bought all the toys growing up. I only had a Darth Vader action figure, but like all of my toys, it wound up buried in my backyard.
