What do you have against Salvatore?

Good question mister Sibwarra, what I have against mister Salvatore has little or nothing to do with Star Wars but mainly the fact that his writing is poorly composed, and has nothing to do with the fact that he killed Chewie.

    Call me Dev.

If you had started complaining about how he had killed Chewie, I would have had to point out that he did so under orders from Del Rey. :)

I know that, I just worded it that way.
Oh yeah and Salvatore`s crimson shadow series is another example of the way his writings stinks. Read that and then tell me if u still like him, Dev and Bib.

Salvatore did a great job with Vector Prime, IMHO. He wrote Chewie's death scene incredibly well, and the Vong were a believable villain.

I actually liked VP, much more so that Luceno's Duology and Balance Point (worst of the NJO so far).

    I haven't read Salvatore's other work though, I hear it's pretty good.

I think Salvatore's got some great stories to tell, but he's an incredibly weak writer. I really enjoyed Vector Prime, I thought that Demon Awakens had a few moments but overall I was extremely disappointed by the low writing quality. Icewind Dale trilogy was brainless fun, I enjoyed it because I wasn't expect much from TSR books to begin with.,

Hopefully, we won't be disappointed with his EP2 novelization.

Well since good ol George has specified what he wanted in Attack of the Clones(Episode2), than not even Salvatore can mess it up that bad.

I'm really looking forward to Episode II novel. Although I typically don't like Brooks' style, I really enjoyed the TPM novel for the most part, and considering how well Salvatore did with Vector Prime I hae high hopes for AotC

I notice that the acronym NEWBIE has fallen out of common usage.

NEWBIE's an acronym. What for. Let me guess:

New eye waters by its elephant

Never eat Without Blowing in eggs

Nothing Ever Works because (of) itching elks

    Any of these? Maybe?

Newbieness is defined by one's state of mind, not by time. When you need no longer ask, you shall no longer be a newbie.

I'm suprised no one has freaked out at this guy and told him to post in Community. Not that I'm complaining, this thread is fine with me, it's just that whenever I have a slightly off-Literature topic, these nuts jump on me like a pack of starving crazed parrots on a pack of oreos.
