Newcastle mini meet - Saturday 2nd September 2006

No mosh pits for me I'm afraid- I like to keep my limbs in tact!

And Legends is open on a Sat

 

depending on meeting up time I may be able to make the 2nd after all

found out my cousins wedding is at 12pm, so if I can get out of going to the night do I'll make Newcastle
I'm not bothered if I upset anyone (not very close to that side of my family) but I don't want to cause frictions for my parents

I think the plan was to meet at 12pm and it sounds like it'll be finishing (very!) late.
If people want to eat somewhere, then I don't mind sorting out a reservation (or anything else for that matter), but we can decide nearer the time!

 

I think the 12 start was to accomodate going to the comic event....we could make it later so its not such a long day - and night!

If theres gonna be a night out too then that may make sense....?

 

I'm fine with whatever people want to do.
The comic fair finishes approx 4.30pm.

I was going to post on this thread in the near future, but Tim's already given it a nudge (you've been busy today by the looks of it, Tim!)

There seems to have been a few ideas for what we can do after the comic event- shopping/cinema/meal/Trillians/Legends/walk down the Quayside...??

What do people want to do? If you want to go for a meal, I can make a reservation, just decide amongst yourselves where you want to go. If you want to go to the pics, then we're probably safe to get tickets on the day....Anyone need accommodation?

It's Spike_thmid who's got something going on on the 2nd, not Spike2002....

 

I agree, I think we should stick them in an arena - the Northerndome - two Spikes enter, one Spike leaves. Once we have dealt with that issue, we do the same for the Chris's on here since there are way too many of them.

There seems to have been a spanner thrown into the works here. Another of my mates is having his damn birthday celebration...in Newcastle on the 2nd of September , so I won't be able to make it.

Although I might bump into you during the night, lol.

I think best for this time is probably a day meet, then have the 'FF-NE Big Night Out' some other time...

Shall we meet then at 12.00 outside Waterstones, near the monument. Comic Fair first and then a wander round the shops and sights of the Toon, a walk down the Quayside and visit the Baltic/Sage too and maybe finish with Pizza Hutt or Burger King - whatever the choice....

We could have a trip over to see the Angel of the North if you like too...only if anyone wants? I just thought - as its our icon and all....

Can I get some final input if this doesnt sound too hot for a plan please...

Which Waterstones are we meeting at (there are two @ Monument metro) so is it the one next to the Theatre Royal, or the one next to Monument Mall?
