Phoned Spice Cube last night and told them it may take a bit longer to confirm numbers. I can let them know next week, so if people can reply by next Tues at the latest, I'd appreciate it.

Since we love our lists, I thought I'd have two in one........

List for the meal/cinema etc (Fri 1st Dec):

    1. Suzi
    2. Sie
    3. Dan

If people want to stay at mine, I can see if my Dad could meet us at Central Station and take people's bag's/sleeping bags to save carrying them around....just a thought!

List for crashing at my place afterwards:

    1.

We had a bit of a chat at the marathon and if everyone agrees, we'll go for the evening buffet menu (£16.50).

    http://www.thespicecube.co.uk/

Download the Xmas menu and go to page 3. I'm also going to ask if they'll do a Korma as one of the dishes, as I'm a bit soft when it comes to curries!

We're thinking of going for the meal first, then cinema afterwards if people are OK with that?? I'm still waiting for the cinema times to be released, but by the looks of it, it'll either be the 8.30pm, 9.00pm or 9.30pm showing. I'll post as soon as they've updated the times.

I'm planning to go to the restaurant on Tues to confirm numbers and pay the deposit (and also clarify that if we've already paid £10 deposit, it means we only have £6.50 to pay on the night!)

List for the meal/cinema etc (Fri 1st Dec at 7pm):

    1. Suzi
    2. Sie
    3. Dan
    4. Jase + partner
    5. Leigh

List for crashing at my place afterwards:

    1. Sie

.......anyone else coming????? Pls post by Tues lunchtime if poss!

Thats a shame you couldn't make it, Ven. Another time perhaps? We're going to do monthly curry nights if we can.

Half 9 sounds best for us. It gives us time to eat without rushing, but if we finish the meal early enough, then we can have a drink beforehand.

    Hey guys,

I'm not going to be able to make Friday night - I just can't justify spending £20-£30+ this close to Christmas (even if it would be with good company ;))

I've got an xmas do with work I can't get out of, seriously. Work are asking for a written explination from anyone who can't make the Christmas lunch, you couldn't make this stuff up !!!! I was tempted to write freedom of choice but as I've only just started there I thought I'd best toe the company line this year

    Mmmmmmm, sprouts [face_alien_1]

OK, so if we go to the 9.30pm showing, we'll probably not get out until at least 11.45pm, which means we'll probably miss the last Metro, so I'll book a taxi for those coming back to mine (Sie [& Leigh- makes sense for you to get a taxi back with us since you live near!]). In order to sort a time for the taxi, is anyone wanting to go somewhere after the cinema (i.e. a club?) or shall I just book the taxi for after the cinema??

    Jase- like your sig ;)

Dave + partner- are you coming??
    L Ogli- you coming??

Right, table booked at 7pm on Friday night for six people.

There's a slight change of plan re the menu. They failed to mention that the buffet menu is only avilable for groups of 40+, so we need to choose a starter, accompaniment, and main each from the a la carte menu (page 4 from the PDF on the website). We will only pay £16.50 for the meal, as it was their fault they didn't mention re the buffet menu.

However, there are some items from the a la carte menu that WON'T be available to us. They are:

    STARTERS:
    Bhatti ke Lamb Chops
    Chicken Chaat
    Kesari paneer tikka
    The Spice Cube Mix Grill

    MAINS:
    Duck bhuna
    'Chilli hot' kerala prawn curry
I've substituted the Chicken badami pasanda for a veggie korma

    DESSERTS:
They can't offer any of the desserts, but since we're going to the cinema afterwards, I guess we can can get ice cream etc from there

So, could you please look at the a la carte menu, choose a starter, accompaniment and main and PM me by Thursday night with what you want, as they'd ideally like to have our orders before we arrive.

    Link: http://www.thespicecube.co.uk/

Also, we're getting VIP passes each for Tiger Tiger, which gives us free entry and use of the VIP area (altogether now, ooooooh!).

I hope people are OK with this slight change, but I didn't feel that I could leave it any longer to pay the deposit!!
