JCC News Story of the Day 2015

Each day, I will post between 3 and 5 news stories which I deem to be the most newsworthy and/or provacative. I will give messageboarders the chance to vote on which one they think is the news story of the day. At the end of each week, we will take the 7 news stories of the day and vote on a news story of the week, and at the end of each month, vote on news story of the month from the news stories of the week, and finally vote on a news story of the year from the news stories of the months. Discussion is encouraged. To give you a preview I will submit today's news stories of the day.

I usually deal with the past, but if you want to try it, I have no objection.

 

That's kind of my point, you can have lots of interesting discussions on the newsworthiness of stories, also on international vs. local stories, etc. also it's interesting to see news trends over a one year period.

I have a feeling this could be one of those threads that has a negative initial reaction but once people see what it can be like it will be more popular.

Sounds good, instead of looking up news myself, I'll just let Scruffy brief me on the day's events. I'll still vote no though, because that seems to be the cool thing to do here.

I changed my mind. Actually I think this is something that deserves to be given a chance, rather than everyone making up their mind before it happens.
